I am looking for this BMW hand grips too, for my current ride...

Had them on my previous ride before - a Fabulous-Joy-Ride.

Like all said here, they are wonderful... Your palms won't feel painful even after riding to Hatyai... :) (At least for me, but others may not find it so...)

Just a suggestions. Pls don't flame me...

How about organise a trip to Sime Darby one of these days to go buy the grips from PML first thing on a Sat morning?? Then we can "hit and run" and go somewhere nearby for breakfast or find a motor-diam to help us fix our grips, cos I don't think they do the "installation" of the grips for us, so we must find a motor-diam to fix our BMW hand grips. :)

Alternatively, we can meet up somewhere and convoy to Mtechnic @ Ubi (like megayon said about Mtechnic @ Ubi selling too). Mtechnic @ Ubi does installation and I think (if I am not wrong), the price of grips include the "installation fee"...

However, I am not familiar with Ubi, so I don't know how to go there and I am "road idiot" so don't ask to lead to Ubi. I will sure, confirmed, guaranteed plus chop, bring you all for a "round Singapore trip" instead...

hahaha...

Is there one type of BMW grips or afew types?

bro,i bought my BMW grip at PML at$ 27..only 1 type exactly like the ones Phang showed us above.installation is done by a fren of mine.

i'm riding an 08 model so for those models with heat functions(06 onwards i think),must take out the heated grips(trace wire all the way to the heated controller) and then can put on the BMW grips..wires all can be found near the handlebar area juz need to unscrew the left panel tats all.

took me and my fren abt nearly an hour to do so..not sure how much shops will charge on the labour though..btw after taking out the heated grips, dun worry coz it can still be fixed back on and used since it has connectors to the heated controller.so keep it as spare..

Hope u understand wat im writing here :giddy:

But i still think there should be another grip as the bmws with warmer also use the same technology except theirs control from the meter if im not wrong.

Maybe tomorrow i'll check with pml, if theres only one type den no choice have to take out the warmer like urs.

Anyway thanks for the advice.:cheeky:

Currently i m using similar grip on my KLE @ chiap lee for $25, as they says that its the genuine BMW grip..But is from the brand "Kariete" . the looks very similar to the picture above , Very comfortable even after long hours on the bike..this grip is the best that i have ever used in my entire riding life. There is also a imitation from GPR but its harder and not comfortable..cheaper @ $9/..just get it @ Chiap lee the one i m using ...best of the best,

"kariete" is under the same company that produce Harris Performance grip.

I used Harrie on my Gixxer and BMW Taper Grip on my STX. Both good grips.

Just a query, for those who install the BMW grips on S4, does the right side(throttle side) need to alter the rubber end so that the balancer can fit in?

In layman term, any modification needed just to fit the grips?
