ah...yes....the air conditioned room.

When i arrived, only 3 bikes (2 Fazers and 1 FJR?). But by the time I left, i tink ard 10 or more liao...

Used to frequent that place. Nice food, good price. But the main thing is, its always damn hot at the eatery and weekends very packed...

anyway, the sight is not as grand as seeing 30 fazers (fz1 + fz6) moving off as a convoy from one place to another... hehehe... :D

Hello,

 

just want to ask how long can mineral oil last?

Cos just find it interesting that the EO servicing at HL, they used mineral oil for the 1st two servicing during the run in period.

 

You guys using what brand of fully synthetic? Cos I've been using Maxima Extra 5, 15w50 if I remembered correctly for my old FZ1. Runs well, but at 4000km starts to turn rough already.

Any reccomendation?

mineral oil good for around 3000km

semi and full sync good for 10,000km but normally good to change from 5000km onwards

if i'm not wrong bro, mineral oil is only good for 2000-3000km... maybe that's y they use it for run in?

 

hmmm maxima extra 15w50... i'm using that now too due to servicing package... i find that it is a bit thicker, heaviler but smoother... perhaps you would like to try 10w40? it's lighter and better for SG road as well as tourings... it's slightly cooler too... :)

 

or if you have the monies, try motul 10w40? :D

i use car's dash board cleaner... sibei chio after that! :thumb:

but of cus, diff ppl have diff methods... some jus rub it hard... some use soap... some use degreaser... blah blah blah! :D

I guess I am keeping to my usual fully synthetic 5K servicing as per my previous bike. :)

Er...how many bottles of EO are required? Then old FZ was 3.

Maybe can try the 10w40. :)

The Maxima is already like $21 per bottle, and for me is about the max to pay for E.O. lor...poor man lah. :cool:

I saw that the Hong Leong package is $121 for fully synthetic. Real hardcore price, but I am not sure which EO they using though.

but... if u wan the super hardcore ones and yet normal looking fully sync? go HL lo... those are super duper hardcores... :D

anyway, HL uses shell advance full sync EOs...
