I already got the Ohlins YA 906.

 

Prefer the Hyperpro 3D Type 469 with the piggyback reservoir. Below is a link to ebay and seller offers international shipping. E-mailed him on the tension of the spring and he says it is sprung for 180lbs - 220lbs, almost double my weight so did not buy it. If I am not wrong Motoworld is selling at $1800.

Below are the available options for a rear suspension replacement locally :

 

1. Hyperpro Model 460(Emuslion type so tends to fade under hard riding)

2. Hyperpro Model 469(Piggyback reservoir so the underseat looks neater)

3. Ohlins YA628/YA906(Remote reservoir, Redbull cans hanging off the side)

4. Penske Sport Shock(Emulsion type) $1300/-

5. Penske 8983(Double adjustor/Remote reservoir)$1700/-

6. Penske 8987(Triple adjustor)$2200/-

 

Any FZ1 >2006 rider wants to join me for a rear suspension upgrade after CNY. But first have to find out the prices.

my gen 1 is on wilbers, reason then why i chose it was penske salesperson gave me a "you cant afford it attitude", and ohlins has 1 less setting than wilbers.

i recently did a servicing at teck thye and david did comment on the built quality of wilbers when he have to strip the suspension up and can see what the internals were built of

i recently did a servicing at teck thye and david did comment on the built quality of wilbers when he have to strip the suspension up and can see what the internals were built of

any comments on the wilbers shock? quality n performance?

wilbers quality are great imho..have all the settings you need.

BMW uses them as standard on their 06 - 08 GS

then again, any aftermarkets is better than the stock that yamaha provides

i think Wilbers do not have ride height adjustability. dang!!

no bro... if u wan a back rest for rider, try looking at corbin seat... something like the below picture... it have those kind of cushion that make it until the rider can rest on it just like something similar to my signature but of cus not that kua zhang la...
