btw, bros, collected my FZ1S yday and noticed that the bike has to be cranked longer than usual. Went to HL but was told engine is new, should use 98 petrol, "it's like that one", etc. When do first servicing, i gotta feedback to them again. When being blow, there is some backfire sound. Yours is a new bike?

 

If cranked longer than usual everytime, can be a sign of your battery going kaput. My battery went dead after 4 months collecting my bike. I did not have a voltmeter at that time. It will be helpful if you have a voltmeter installed.

 

Regarding the backfire sound, unless its a loud "POP" or "BOOMZ" sound, you need not worry. Mine has the so-called backfire sound too and its normal after asking the seniors and all.

Yup mine is brand new. I uninstalled and charged the battery at home. The battery is fully charged.

hey...does anyone here know if i could do a conversion from an FZ1-N to an 'S' version?

 

can be done.. but its not going to be cheap.. headlights alone probably 200+, headlight fairing about 300, plus fairing stay maybe about 100..

can order from hong leong, otherwise got first motor and mould fairing to whatever style you want..

bro, yours new bike below 3k mileage? if yes, it's normal as u r still "running-in"...

the usual standard should be first bar drop at around 70km at economy fuel saving mode...

but back to topic, u r considered good le la bro, can get 60km before the first bar of fuel drops...

i rem last time for my first 3-4k mileage, i only get 50km or so...

 

if u wan superb fuel saving, try changing your gears between 2-3k rpm after u run-in, u will be able to get 80km of mileage before the first fuel bar drops!

hi there..hope to get some help here.. i got a Fazer 1-S year 2008 model.. wanted to get the sidebox for it.. i saw a fazer that fixed on GiVI model V35 side box..! it was nice n sporty..! i call up mah motor but they told me out of stock.. ( bracket )

is there any place selling GIVI box and bracket for fz1-S? mah motor told me i muz book those bracket and wait for 3 months for next shipment..

bro, try asking LAB... they carries givi as well and it's said to be cheaper than Mah...
