So what is your bike temperature maintain when you on the move @expressway and nnormal road or stopping. Actually what is the problem? my bikeshop told me he already check the coolant n everything when I bought this bike

 

i mentioned, i never hit above 103°C before.. that already tell u it's at all modes on the road already..

very simple, u trust the words from one bike shop?

 

 

What bike you riding fz1 or 6

hi riders i'm new with fazer600s.so i want some feedbacks which i encounter today. my bike was hi temperature when it hits 118c a red temp light is out is it norm for fazer600 out there

 

Normally fan will kick in @ 100c. So if you can hit 118c/HI, your fan is not working.

Ask them to check is the fan jam or spoilt?

that's y i ask him he trust the bike shop where he bought the bike or not lo.. to me, all bike shop who sells bikes one sure say every thing checked already one.. unless we are talking abt bike shop who deals with repairs only or buying 1st hand bike.. it couldn't be 1st hand bike cus fz6 no more 1st hand in the market already..

bros...im riding a fz1s..i was cleaning ma front sprocket earlier, and was trying to fix the cover after..it was kinda hard to put it back in with all the tubes/wires...was pulling it all to get back in place n suddenly 1 tube came lose on 1 end...i dunno if its an overflow tube or breather tube, tot somebody can help me out check wit ya bike..

total 6tubes/wires near the front sprocket

- exhaust censor

- side stand wire

- coolant hose

- 1 wire running to the bottom of the engine

- breather tube

- ??

 

lastly, is it compulsory to do valve clearance.. pros/cons and wat can happn if never do valve clearance.

I believe there's no petrol leakage when e said tube came loose, y not u bring to ur bike shop to have it fix ?

 

For valve clearance, i did it @45000km... By doing it, there's no cons juz pros...

ur talking about tubes right? Not a cable? The tubes are either breather or overflow tubes. Fuel tank has two (underneath the tank) coolant reservoir has two as well I think, top and side.

 

Valve clearance - best place to check is at Hong Leong. Make an appt and go have it checked. It is compulsory if you need to do it. Ignoring can have catastrophic consequences.

Put industrial fan, confirm not hot anymore ... Btw dun waste $$ on so called better coolant coz doesnt help much..

Just bought a 2007 FZ6 and after changing the chain, a lound noise like something rubbing, I think from the front wheel is heard. It becomes very lound above 70Km/h, and at 90 it covers totally the sound of the engine. Anyone had that before? Any idea how to fix it?

Addon: I saw a garage who told me the wheel bearings were both good. They added it comes from the brake pads rubbing on the disc, I don't think they could do so much noise...

what kind of noise? buzzing? grinding? high pitched? if you say the chain, take a look if ur chain is rubbing against the mainstand..

try installing a rubber washer..or several washers..

 

aftermarket side mirrors easily found but quality will vary. Or if all else fails, try ebay.

I got an aftermarket mirrors which can be fixed for the S model but it doesnt serve the purpose as a mirror as its too low and can only see ur handle bar.. U often open and close ur mirrors?
