Servicing other than EO and Oil filter

Hi....How often need to top up the not usual stuff life brake fluid, coolant, change brake pads, clutch/brake cables etc

Act, my opinion is dat dun wait till prob bro..wait more prob lagi prob..

For me better svc once a yr bt depending on hw ur ride lor..

1)Coolant,check every 5000km(the level must be not on low or high)

 

2)Clutch, no specific mileage,once your bike accelerate like an auto trans car then might want to ask mechanic's opinion.

 

3)Brake fluid,check every 5000km,(discoloration or low level then must flush or topup)

 

4)Brake pads,check every 5000km,brake pads can last you more than 20k km,unless you ride everyday like riding on a track.

 

5) Brake hose,check every 5000km,visual inspection,see the hose not crack and the banjo(brass joints) not leaking.

 

6) Clutch cable,check if it has frayed ends,or replace about 1-2yrs.Btw its less than 20SGD.

 

If you have the original manual "lagi" better,there's a page telling at wat mileage must check valve clearance,crankcase breather and etc....

Since i've changed most of the wear and tear from my 8 year old spec 1 which cost quite a fair bit when added up, might as well change everything else and renew COE..

 

Can tell me estimate for changing brake hose ?

Just to visual inspection on the brake hoses and connections,make sure the screw/bolts are tight,rubber hoses not crack and leaks then verythings fine. But if you want more feel for brakes then change to aftermarket hose.
