Need some help and advise from forumers here...

 

Yesterday @ 2345hrs, i parked my bike at the service road of my flat to go up to my unit and put some things.there were no cars then parked there.

 

When i looked out of my living room window @ abt 0000hrs, to my horor, my bike's is lying on the road. My mind was in shock and took me some time to register wat had happen.

 

i ran down and asses my bike's condition.it was a total wreck.practically, my whole left poriton was damaged! my mum, who was at the living room told me that she heard a loud noise but thought nothing of it. i was in the toilet when this happen and couldn't hear anything.

 

police were called in but was told to lodge a police report instead at the nearest npc as there is no other vehicle present.

 

Damages to my bike : back left fairings+front header gone,e side mirror cum signal, scracthes on e tank, my frame holding the meter cracked,my clutch senget, and most importantly my fork bengkok!

 

Now the buning question is that:

1)Anyone knows which reliable shop for me to go to witout adding me more headaches?i mean if i go to the dealer to replace the parts, isit cheaper?

 

2)I've yet to do the reporting part,but need some opinions,coz it's a dble yellow line and i may get summon for parking there to.

 

3)Any other advise 4 me?

Its almost impossible for you to do anything if there is no witness. The most important thing now is to do up your bike. You can scout around different shops to see who give a better deal. I think it will cost you a bomb if you were to go back to the dealer Guan Hoe.

 

You may want to go to Suzuki spare parts shops such as KS or Eversuccess to ask for the prices and DIY yourself, will be cheaper this way.

Hit and Run. If it was just pushed over, means you parked your bike perpendicular to the pavement instead of Parallel? Cannot be right...

Dude,

Firstly, you can go to the police station and lodge an NP168 accident report for a hit & run. Yes, this is considered a hit-and-run case. Chances of apprehending the pakalolo may be slim but hopefully when TP makes a check with workshops, they might hit the jackpot. But work fast!! Lodge the report now.

 

Secondly, the double yellow line is not an issue. The driveway is under HDB whilst you're lodging a report with police. They don't enforce HDB related matters...

but a fat chance that the authorities can find the culprit....

so many car shops....

Lesson learnt,thanks bro...juz hope this thread will 'educate' other forumers here about the dangers of svs rd..but tink again,everywhere not safe,even at designated parking lots...

I know how you feel.. I went through the same thing. Parked my bike outside my house (Beside the pavement).. Heard a loud bang.. Saw my bike on its side. The thing was.. My bike was parked behind car and it was a Bright sunny day..
