u want to pay for guide there or what? cos the trip from SG to KL take about 3-4hrs. Then depending on traffic conditions in KL, you might get stuck quite a while. After you get there, depending on their efficiency you might wait a few hrs. Then still have the way back another 3-4hrs.

So, how fast you really think you can be back? You will need to spend a day there. KL is not like SG, so small, can fast go fast back.

paying for a guide is nt a major issue as long as the price quoted is still reasonable. Wat is the more comfortable estimate time for the trip? 3-4hrs to KL sure need sum smoke break de...Hee...

Wat r the possible problem incurred during the trip?

Sorri cos i gt no much experience in travelling far distance.

the exact address is below

JABATAN IMIGRESEN MALAYSIA

( KEMENTERIAN HAL EHWAL DALAM NEGERI )

TINGKAT 1-7 (PODIUM)

BLOK 2G4, PRECINT 2

PUSAT PENTADABURAN KERAJAAN

PERSEKUTUAN

62550 PUTRAJAYA

WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN

TEL: 03-88801000

TEL: 03-88801200

A point to note. I tink the trip has to be done onli in wkdaes cos it will b within office hours & i guess there will b lesser ppt at the HQ oso.

The address stated is in Putrajaya, which is about 60km south of KL. No need to travel all the way to KL. Just look out for and take the exit to Putrajaya after the Nilai intersection and thereafter follow the road signs. Ask the locals if you lost your way. Estimated time for a 1-way trip is about 3.5 hours (assuming there's no stopping and you know where's the exact location). Also, all their government offices work only 5-day week. So don't waste your time going on Saturdays.

I think it should be at this map:

http://www.streetdirectory.com/malaysia/kl/travel/travel_id_2808/travel_site_67250/

Royal Malaysian Customs Headquarters

(Government Departments & Ministers)

Blok 2G1B, Kompleks Kementerian Kewangan,Presint 2, Pusat Pentadbiran Kerajaan Persekutuan Putrajaya

This building is Blok 2G1B Presint 2, but the building you want to go is Blok 2G4 Presint 2. So I think it should be very nearby. Good Luck.

Perhaps you did not realize that KL is the capital of Malaysia & not every country is as small as Singapore? Time to wake up & see the world.

erm i dun see why you're shooting yourself but it's precisely i woke up and saw the world that's why i said it's retarded that their HQ is all the way at KL? duh~~~~

it's like LTA is at Sin Ming, are you implying that they should put at CBD area?

I think you should wake up and see what you post before you continue seeing the world

sori...no offence...i would jz lk 2 voice out my own personal opion. I kind of agree wif u. Since malaysia is nt a small country therefore the more they sld give the custom officers the access to the security to some extend for convience wise. Cos i realli can't find a gd reason why they muz mk ppt wif record travel all the way to KL to get the problem solve.

Y are they making their own security system access our singaporean problem. I mean i feel tt wi had done our part to renew the passport wat's more they expect fm us?

The worst thing is they can enter records into the security system but can't delete. WTF...wat if they type the IC no. wrongly then hw to delete?

Perhaps I was a little rude. I apologize. Malaysia Immigration & customs are under the control of the Federal Government. Hence it is only not illogical to have the central Headquarters in Putrajaya.

Singapore is fortunate enough not to have State governments & have everything central within a small island.

Not sure how the system works with Singapore government, but I wonder what if M'sians have bad record in Singapore and if our own custom people are able to clear the record? if so then there's obviously something wrong with their system haha

By the way, are msian's suppose to deal their custom problems at KL too? If so then i guess we can't complain about it too since pple living in JB oso have to travel all the way down to KL lol

No worries bro.

Yup perhaps like wat u said, becoZ Singapore is a small country hence terminating the need for having State governments. To me it only seems logical that customs shld be able to terminate bad records, everything is computerized now a days, you delete in JB it can also be sent to KL servers haha!! Maybe they don't have enough money to buy servers that's why all centralised in KL =X

So sori for kay poh-ing over here.

i tink i agreed tat u shud try to walk out thru the bus lane first b4 u make a decision to go KL to the st***d HQ. Try to see if there is any trouble for u to gain access to m'sai in another way. If there is no prob... i dun see any prob oso if u go out wif yr bike.

For the KL HQ thingy, I have some experience too. I was once accompany my uncle(m'sian) to KL HQ bcos he have some problem wif his passport record.

He came back from Taiwan thru Senai airport. The st***d officer over there key in his record as Singaporean. When he found out bout this, he approached the Custom officer in JB branch. He then was told he have to settle this matter in KL HQ. I went down together with my uncle and we waited for bout 3hrs for a 5 mins transaction. They juz re-type the nationality in the system and tat all!!

WT*!!

Even m'sian also hav to go down to KL HQ for passport record.

TOINK.....

Your Singapore elected MP? To help with your immigration dispute of another sovereign country? Wow, I didn't know they would be so influential.

:btw: TS, if this happened in another country, you would suffer a heck of a lot more inconvenience. A defaced passport is a big :nono:, even if its accidental.

Erm sorry if i may sound rude, but i kinda agree with kiamh

Our local MP can't do much regarding Malaysian customs although it is Singapore passport.

But worth a try ba, you never know how things might turn out unless you give it a try

kiamh bro, noticed u seems rather negative past few days. u ok?

Neway, dun give them so much doubt. If you and I were to write a letter to the embassy or any govt body, you might not even get a reply from anyone.

An MP writes a letter, you WILL get a reply. So, who knows, if your elected MP is the foreign minister, even better eh? More power in the letter etc. MPs do have some weight in their own right, compared to us small fries.

TS, if really no choice after you tried all means, then I suggest you and gal take couch from JB to KL then take taxi to immigration HQ and same way back.

If you neber venture that far out on bike and got no confidence, better not try.

I asked a friend who can send you there on his minibus and back, the price not worth it for you.
