Don't mind my intrusion; I've a pair BRAND NEW side boxes, like those of HD Road Kings for sale. Decided against mounting them as don't want to change the look of my ride ..

 

Ordered from US direct; cost total about S$900/- (air freight freaking expensive) http://www.oldinc.com/oldys.htm

Letting go at S$500/-.

Anyway, my 20 cent on how much to pay for good saddle bag / side boxes;

 

Personally I always like those weather proof lockable hard boxes on Honda ST / Yamaha Diverson / BMW.. using the pricing of those as ref; one would have to expect to pay close to a S$1k for them.

 

But I agree with what was said eariler, what bike (ie: how big / how expensive) we're mounting the bags on does play a big part on how much one should pay...

may just use back stock suspension just to do them..

Can fit in a open face helmet. Fullface, hard lah...I dun wan to try and spoil ur bag...hahaa...

abit hard to squeeze and will look very pregnant (the bag) if you managed to squeeze it in also.

 

the one i did is customized size, 9" wide, so can put in a open face with not much problem.

 

If you have wide handlebars, will look ok, else, it might look too big for a cruiser (other than some HD already big).

nope... it can't. Not even close

(I remember mine was an M size)

 

:btw: I used to lock my helmets to the IU bracket whenever I park my bike. Just a tip for you to consider.

depending on what open face, the one I selling can go in on the M saddlebags. Tried and tested, and show some of them. :)

I'm open 24/7. No worries. Today Sat already have visitors since 8plus am till now, close to 2am...last one just left after I help him install some stuffs.

 

Today, tink have more than 20-30 visitors sia...

 

No need special arrangements one, just sms or call before come down, as certain hrs I may not be ard.

 

This is wat others are doing and it's totally fine with me. Midnite visits are welcomed, my own house, no one will complain. If early morning I may complain, cos I sleep late every nite, and dun wakeup early.

I remember fitting my fullface in to madman's saddlebags during his open house some months back. I think they were the largest he had...

Have you tries checking with First Motor? I believe they custom-made such boxes. :)
