Hi Guys,

i am riding a Spec 3 with a GPR endcan. Usually gear 1-5 @ 6.5rpm and gear 6 @ 7rpm , when it reaches the vtec opening sound, my bike will usually have a roaring/higher pitch sound as in i will know that vtec is ON.

My now, i cant hear it anymore. the whole bike is like without the VTEC or will only come out occasionally but mostly no VTEC.

Can someone experience please give me some guidance?

Thanks a million!

I don't own a Vtec bike but just a wild guess here lah. If this is your case of Vtec not coming on when you passed 6.3k rpm..as it's actuated by oil pressure sening..likely its the sensor that is multfuctioning. I leave you now to those Vtec owner that may know better. :sian:

Bro check your engine oil level...and if i'm not wrong the vtec sensor is located somewhere below the fuelkok. Best to get it checked by a mechanic coz i only have this problem once due to low oil level.

anyone got this prob b4?

Go check your eo level and top up if necessary and see if it helps. If not..go for the sensor..have it rectifier by mototiam or if you know where it is, get a new one and DIY. I believe it has an electrical wire that runs from your crank case gear box to your main wiring.
