Piaggio MP3

it's cool that lots of innovation is happening to scooters. the mp3 wowed me like when i first saw the BMW c1 executive.

Scooters are really a good form of transportation in singapore.

legal yes, but not allowed on E-ways i think

For MP3s, there are approved on the E-ways.

I think the PGOs are too, right? (correct me if I'm wrong)

The PGO TR3 are indeed approved on the E-Way, got some young guys riding those also. Not sure how fast it went to though, the riding style is a bit different

I'm wondering, those of you who used to frequent JB via Woodlands Causeway, you'll noticed that upon entering into SG customs after exiting from JB (going back SG direction), before reaching the counters, you'll have to go through a narrow lane which has small divider in between. Wondering if the lane is wide enough for MP3 to pass through not... :cheeky:

Edited post:

Oh ya, the lane when entering into JB customs also a bit narrow and also the bike lanes for TOLL as well. Maybe haven't seen the real thing yet, so duno how it's like also...

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

well, actually if MP3 has a problem passing thru woodlands customs, then it will be a similar prob with my ST and Goldwing as well!

guess, 2nd link will be more frenly then.

The width of the bike's body is not much of concern actually, it's the 2 front wheels of MP3. For eg, normal 2 wheels definitely can go through a narrow plank inside the driving centres, but MP3 definitely can't from how it's design. So the theory applies the same for the narrow lanes in the customs. But of course they're not as narrow as the narrow planks lah, maybe juz nice for the 2 wheels or maybe the tyre walls will be brushing the kerbs... hehehe... :cheeky:

brilliant idea! wonder how much it will cost in singapore with that option (what do they call it? hydraulic .. to balance the bike at complete stop)

What i like about MP3 are the two front wheels i/o two at the rear. yum yum.... :hungry:

I certainly hope the japanese can counter the italians with their own versions very near future. Lets pray!

The solution? Ride with one wheel up the kerb lah! :cheeky:
