the owner on the spot rev n clear rpm meter in neutral gear.. Does it mean his bike shouldn'd have alot of problems??

 

is oil leaking from front suspension normal?? will it be difficult to fix??

 

his bike fq plate, outlook overall not too bad, i ask shop to reloan, coe + interest + admin will add to 8k+, machine price 6k.. is it a good deal??

The thousands of hardwork these past years of going into maintaining my bike has now gone down the drain :cry: :cry:

On this faithful day 16 Apr at 11.15am at Queen Street (Bugis)... a lorry decided to reverse on me and my bike and crush it with full force until my front fairings and side fairings are totally damaged, fork inverted, alignment out and front brake totally gone...

 

What's worse was that i send the whole bike to clifford to repair after IDAC Inspection, must still wait for them to engaged their in house surveyor and I must fork out $300 just to get an estimated quotation to the other party's AXA Insurance. I refused to pay.

天理何在? 心很痛呀!!!

We got off the phone yesterday. First and foremost, make sure that guy doesn't turn tuck as he can twist this around; accident that impacts the tailboard of the truck may make it look like a rear end accident. But since you said it was obvious the accident was his fault, then you can simply proceed with the claim process.

 

Second, with regards to settlement just to get your bike checked, it's quite simple logic that you shouldn't be paying a cent.

 

If the bikeshop to which is assisting in the damage survey wants you to pay them a sum of money before they can proceed, they probably have a reason for it (whether it's good or bad); and you have the right to insist on a paper reason as to why you have to pay. Then there's the lawyer consultation suggested by the bikeshop; this is a good resource for you to find out why the bikeshop needs to charge you money.

 

If all avenues refuse to budge, and if you feel the bikeshop (and its lawyers) have not proven their point i.e. still bullcrapping, get your bike out and into another bikeshop.

 

No point arguing to get things right; as I've said, this is how everything works...nothing is ever perfect and bikeshops here are unregulated; they can so choose to tag extra charges if they wish to.

 

Moreover, improved insurance company policies (it was in the news recently) has not kick-started yet, so you're stranded with options that you cannot grab a firm hold of.

 

Common sense and knowledge goes a long way. Use it to your advantage.

What colour is the leaked fluid?

hmmm.. it leak on the fork itself.. a lil yellowish, mainly colourless..
