a question for all . . to those experience rvf rider . . normally during midnight around 3 - 4 am driving at 70-100km/hr do stop at a few traffic light, ever over heat?? The meter there show T E M P at times it will read as between E - M and then my fan will auto on . . is tt normal ???

Yes, the RVF, being a power-hungry bike, does get hot.

And it's a normal phenomenon for all sportbikes to do that, even when it's at idle.

 

All you need to ensure is that:

1. The radiator fan turns on at around 3/4

2. The temperature stops rising when the fan remains on

3. ...and that the fan does turn on. If it doesn't, and the temperature keeps on rising, you've got a serious problem.

(That's because as of recent, my bike had these serious symptoms, and it's now being repaired)

Oh, and I found out that my coolant tubes had been wrapped in plastic.

Bad workmanship...it also caused my coolant tubes to explode under pressure whilst I was at the red light.

its actually k... mine 2 was like urz... its kinda better lah... doesnt get heated up 2 fast...

my case i tot was too fast as nite so cool still get almost 3/4

 

Shop told me my rvf inside something call thormoset or soemthing was remove so water cycle keep runing therefore heat quite fast up but stay there.
