Honda RVF400 Riders

hey guys.. i've got 2 things im experiencing wif my bike..

 

1) Whenever i start my bike from cold, once i press the start button, the bike starts n go to normal idling speed, n the sound sounds ok too.. After 2-3 secs, bike will slowly slowly no power, idling drop, till eventually die.. No such problem when bike is hot.. to prevent this, i would have to open throttle n stay there for abt 10secs, den ok.. the idling still drop, but wont die.. is it normal??

 

2) When in a traffic jam, my bike gets hot until the temp goes to the red-hot zone.. N will not drop unless i start riding continuously.. When cruising temp stays at half, at nite in the cold wind den stay abt 1/3 or less.. again is it normal??

 

wanna find as much problem out so can get it fixed asap Thks..

 

 

temp should not reach the max red zone even in traffic jam. the fan and coolant should be able to maintain it at 3/4 if in traffic jam. check your coolant if fan still working. if coolant and fan both ok then check your radiator.

I just got my coolant prob fixed. The temperature meter reading for a healthy RVF rarely exceed the 3/4 mark by a lot...and should never hit the redline. Tested this whilst queueing up at the Woodlands customs.

 

I was told this: Check your rear coolant bottle. Is the coolant fluid in there and also, the level of coolant is in between the Low and High mark?

oh..err...if i don't remember wrongly i think i recall a girl riding a black RVF cutting my way in front last week. Must be you lah.. He..he...early morning on the PIE I always like that one.. sure got a lot of things running through my mind everyday... Below are the list of things running thru my mind almost everyday...

9) Who else wanna see me in the morning or who i wanna see in the morning.

10) What's in my e-mail?

11) How much battery level i have left in my laptop now

12) What are the outstandings i have to complete today?

13) How's the weather on the other side of my journey?

14) What have i forgotten to do yesterday?

15) What to eat today?

I can just cut down most of your 15 steps and opt for these everyday:

 

1) Hop on bike and chiong to work in the early morning.

2) Work my backside off, earning $ in the process.

3) Chiong back home and sleep.

hmmm.. i can hear my fan turning.. but the temp still reach max.. super hot sia..

 

removing of termostat helps. my bike nv had temp problem ever since. cant feel the heat anymroe even traveling at low speed for long distance

u kena also? normal days off peak nvm. but morning 8plus rushing to work with fullface + long sleeve shirt + pants + leather heels already very gao wey already. and together with almost stand-still traffic and morning sun glare = pekchek.

 

and to kena a road hogger between LANE 1 AND 2 = damn pek chek.

 

even the wave behind him was also pek chek and finding ways to overtake him lo. :angry: :angry:
