Well, I do believe that HLC are open to have it serviced even though it's imported...Because, there was a Yamaha Warrior that was imported in by Mah, well, it's the only one here in Singapore and the owner moved to Thailand bringing it with him though,...anyway, back to the point, HLC did service that Warrior...

So, even if you get this bike via parallel import, say Mah, HLC will definitely allow you to bring it over for any servicing...Bro, these are down times and if there is monies to be made, there shouldn't be any problem bro...So, i'm hoping to see this new MidnightStar 950cc on the road soon ya, hehehehe...

good to koe..... but then again, best if HLC brings it in....so far this is the one that actually seems vaible to me...... and u actually brought up a very good pt....."times are hard...and only to get worst before it gets better" ....better let the brain take over.... otherwise.. later have to eat grass.....

+1, I'll throw my vote in the hat & say I'm keen to own one as well. BUT in such times of uncertainly, I'll stick with my current bike & ride out the storm.

the midnight star 950 looks good. more streamlined. though it still looks a little similar to the Dragstar. (can't they bring in radical ones like Warrior or Raider?). generally good reviews of the bike. suitable for those cashing in on a Class 2 cruiser for the first time. handles well. powerful enough to zip away from the lights at stop. though the exhaust note ain't that impressive. but better than the 400cc and 650cc. i believe the price would be reasonable too. so a great buy for those not looking for a heavyweight cruiser, but one which has a big road presence with enough power to commute around town or the occasional ride up north =)

Well, that price is still tentative until the final say after LTA check...But saw the bike last Saturday and it was awesome...Sat on it and found that the seating is very very very comfortable, it's low feel, makes you smile and the handlebar just come towards you without you trying hard to reah it...The bike makes you feel like you are even with the road, low and easy...The bike features is simple with lots and lots of room for personalised customization to you liking and end pipes is easy to instal after market pipes for those of you who like to have the roar on the road...Overall, the feel and look brings a satisfying moment when you sit on the bike...Not to forget, the chopper-like body frame and slightly-tilted front fork adds to it's awesomeness....Go and see it for yourself...

I guess the price of $18,600 or slightly more is reasonable for what the bike features is all about bro...But of course lesser is better, well, even if it stays the same price, it's a damn good price for this Star range....

hmmm... i thought the vstar 1300 is in that price range? was hoping it'll be lower man

Hey hey brother Adriel...the 1300cc is in the range of S$22-23K, if i'm not mistaken...The price range for the 950 is fairly affordable for those who is on a budget and don't want to exceed the S$20K mark...The bike is also an awesome ride too, so comparing the price range and the quality you get from the latest Star edition, to me it's a really good buy bro...Cheers...

Really? Looks like prices went up pretty drastically.

I asked HL at NBW last november & the VStar1300 Tour was quoted to me at $18k machine price.

I might be mistaken about the 1300 pricing but if so, why not grab the 1300 instead if that's the price....????....It'll make more sense to have the 1300 than the 950 if both are equally same in pricing...But, it won't make business sense to HLC if they were to mark the 1300 at S$18K, and then mark the 950 at S$18k also...hhhmmm...????

Anyway, i shall make my queries to HLC as i'll be going over this friday for my baby's maintenance check...so, hear from me for the updates...Cheers...

I notice that for the star series, only the 1300 is liquid cooled.

Considering SG is hot & humid with slow traffic, will the 1300 be better since liquid cooled is more efficient that air cooled. ? ( especially in the case large cc engines )

1997 TZR 125 - 1998 FZ 150 - 1999 GSXR 400K - 1999 RX 100 - 2000 LC 125 - 2001 TZR 125 - 2002 CB 400 Ver S - 2006 CBR 929 - 2006 GETZ 1.4 - 2009 STEED 400 - 2016 ???

Hi hi bro Baal...For our weather here in Singapore, both liquid and air cooled bikes are alright to my personal experience because we don't have any drastic weathers like too extreme cold temperature or too extreme hot weather, and thanks to our strategic location, Singapore is way cooler than most countries along the Equator....So either one of the choices are compatible to our weather....Are you thinking of getting the MidnightStar 1300cc or the 950cc???...

I see. Nah, not getting a new bike yet.

looks wise I think the 950 looks better than the 1300.

If I ever do get a cruiser, I will get a Steed first to "test" if I like the cruiser style.
