Oxford ultra thin. $12 only.

'08 Leo-Vince Wave S

The day i quit riding,

Is when those whom I love,

Cry every time I get on my motorcycle.

give buffs a shot, http://www.buffwear.com

can fold fold tuck tuck to turn it into balaclava.

when not using in that config, can wear as a bandana or doorag to just keep hair neat or wick sweat away for sports.

not to mention, there are no seams, no sewn areas, it's just a tubular silken polyester, very smooth, won't leave funny stitch marks on your forehead.

I'm bald, so, no stitch marks is a must for me.

I used it for diving to allow mask to slip on easy

for climbing, to keep sweat outa face,

for running, same as above,

for kayaking to keep sun off head.

and now for riding, to keep my head feeling comfy in FF.

30bucks for the original buff though. not cheap. i have 3 which i cycle through and it's lasted me for almost 1.5yrs general use, of which, almost 1 yr included almost daily riding.

oh, and in balaclava config, it covers my throat till adam apple fully covered. at the rear, it ends slightly below hairline, outside of the bottom rear edge.

if free will take pics.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

I love the Oxford CoolMax Balaclava! It's really good at keeping my helmet nice smelling! :thumb: I recommend it to people who wants to keep their helmet nice smelling at all times! :cheeky:

Got one of these too, on eBay! about sgd20 - 25 incl shipping to sg.

Got it because i had problems with earphones and FF at the same time (not recommended!) But it worked out well because getting in and out of FF (with headphones) with balacava on is now a piece of cake!

Great quality! (somehow i think it shrinks abit each time after washing)

Hygiene! (absorbs sweat, dont have to wash/clean cheekpads as often)

The best gift to your loved ones; is yourself.

i used to wear Oxford cotton/cloth type balaclava.

untill recently, i got my self a silk one (Rjays).

i supposed the brands doesn't matter much, it contributes to the price!

anyway, wat i observe from my usage from the cotton.

it sits onto my head & face nicely, tends to absorb more sweat but hotter.

after a period of usage (ard 6mth of daily usage), it become loose.

result: gotta spend $$ on the 2nd one.

so on the silk one (3rd one), tighter than the cotton type.

it still absorb most of the sweat, yet cooling.

but the thing i dislike, it doesn't cover part or even any part of my neck.

so if any of u guys happen to own a silk balaclava & it covers part of most of yr neck, pls let mi koe.

Previously, i was using RJay's silk bala, excellent feel, soft and really comfy and cooling. however, it's very prone to damage by velco as I'll always stuffed my gloves and bara into my helmet after each ride. at times the velco from my gloves will hooked on to the silk fibers and slowly damaging it. It became loose after less than a year of usage.

Recently, I replace it with oxford ultra thin. it's half the price of RJay, very fitting, but not as comfy as silk.

Both the bala i used are long enough to cover my neck. but i hate the flapping during the ride, and so i gotten a headband, from Daiso female accessories section, and wear it over my neck to prevent it from flapping and slapping my neck.

anyone else does that? :cheeky:

I was wonder is Sparco Open Face X-Cool Balaclava better then oxford ultra thin or silk type?

Claimed that X-cool special chemical treatment which draws heat away from the body. So i not sure

how good is this product compare others.

I'.m still looking a cooler balaclava for coming enduance race day on Nov.

i currently own 2 balaclavas, one oxford coolmax 100% polyester, one HJC material like soccer jersey material...

i like both but i prefer the HJC one, as it offers snug fit, it is kinda snug fit to the skin, the oxford one is like hanging loosely around my face and head. both are quite cooling.
