Recently when I start my XP(home), it prompt me a 'logonuiX.exe-Application error'...it says 'the required data was not placed into memory bcoz of an I/O error status'...:dot: wat is that...can anyone help me plz...Thanx...:)

[1] Are you using a Windows 'skinning' program to beautify your desktop such as ObjectDock, WindowBlinds, etc?

 

[2] If not, this may be malware and you should do a virus + anti-spyware scan on your PC.

 

So, with the problem that you've just described, are you still able to log on to your desktop :confused:

no..i can't log on...so wat can i do???...do i need to reboot the system??:dot:

Something must have corrupted your Windows XP user interface, including your login menu.

 

With an XP CD on-hand, go ahead and do an XP "repair install".

Once you do that and login with success, do a virus/spyware scan.

I presume this problem suddenly appeared and is not an application that caused it.

yup...lost it when i did spring cleaning....guess its been thrown out with other junks...:(

 

 

Then I think you cannot repair your xp window as the serial number is different.

 

Maybe you can reformat you harddisk and then reload your friend 'xp window'.
