By right, with insurance you are unable to ride on road.

without insurance, how do u even ride to customs, unless u push all the way there.

I done it twice before and passed. What I did was push the bike up the bridge and pass the customs. Normally they'll take picture of the plate no. and your face and of course your passport info. If anything happen they can trace back that you went pass the customs without insurance.

 

However, technically they can't assume you rode pass the customs based on circumstantial evidence and thereby charge you for riding without insurance.

Sometimes they will stop you to check your insurance after the custom. Beware.

So you are saying you rode the bike to the checkpoint without insurance? That's extremely irresponsible.

else, i see no reason why there is no insurance, cos no insurance means no rd tax, no rd tax means lta will come knocking soon to collect their bonuses.

Without insurance, BY LAW you are not suppose to ride on the road. But of course you can do it otherwise.

 

Some people continue to own their bike without buying insurance, they just keep their bike in the carpark and continue to pay the season parking.
