Hi!

Just got my V-Strom 1000. What is the fuel efficiency for the V-Strom 1000? I'm getting about 15km plus/litre. Heard the range should be around 17km/litre. Can anyone provide some info on fuel efficiency? Thanks.

Thanks for sharing the info.

khaitronic,

Took over from a friend who did a change in his ride. Still getting the hang of riding a different machine.

Happy riding the beast!

Yeah man I totally agree with this. If I'm correct you have ride up with the old batches of V strom owners before right?

Anyway welcome to the club!:thumb::cheeky:

For me, I jus turn the ignition key to off the bike (and also stop the fan from running)... let the engine cold by itself.

what i meant was after turning the ignition key, my engine was still running for like a brief second. when the engine isnt hot, it would shut off instantly when u turned the key off.

For me, when the temp. is three bar, the fan will keep running even when i turn the ignition key to "off"... so I will "engage" the engine stop switch to stop the fan from running to allow the engine to cool off naturally.

Hope the above help...
