Like what others have said, waterbottle holder is a bicycle part. Any bicycle shop will have. Branded ones like topeak will cost more than china-made market bike type of waterbottle holders.

The 2 mounting holes are standard bicycle industry spacing. Any typical motorbike shop will have these perforated metal strips to custom a cheap mounting on your handlebar/mirror/brake perch. They like to use this to mount ERP, headlight fairings etc on bikes.

If you want a nice looking mount, then seng kwang will be able to make one for you. Price wise will be a few times your water bottle holder.

My question is, why do some bikers mount it? Most will wear full face and will not be possible to drink with the helmet on. Exception for open face and flip up helmets. If you take off helmet, most likely you are at a rest stop. Can easily grab water bottle from panniers or top box or buy from petrol kiosk. Drinking on the move when touring will require a camelback. Can keep in tank bag or slot into back protector compartment of riding jacket.

thanks for your advice bro~

eh! but will require an additional bracket to fix it to the mirror perch or the handlebar right??

i mount it using on brake lever screws, no bracket required but need to DIY spacer & a longer screw.

u can get them all for free, the next time u go service yr bike, just ask yr mec to fix for u.

I rode with the bottle / or even mac cup on the bottle holder.

Useful in sg. Traffic light can continue drinking water.

For full face, I think it depends on the type of full face helmet. Usually, those motocross helmet such as Rjay Dakar and Shoei DH Hornet etc have enough space to put the straw at the place where the visor goes down. I did that before without taking off my helmet, while I stop by at KFC at Sungei Besi to by Ice lemon Tea.

Barracuda have a point too.:thumb:

At the end of the day, I think it depends on the rider whether he wants to just display it or use it for holding/putting bottle/cup.:cheeky:

Looks very good. No major issues with newer DL650 unlike with Leo Vince. I see O2 sensor is still kept and bump stop for main stand. Hopefully will not affect bash plate too. Who is bringing in and the most beautiful question.....exact price? I know it will be very nice too.

Our red beemer friend bike recovering soon! heard from a reliable source that he installing akra dual tip exhaust to compete with our very own H@iml....

rivalry aside

i heard he want to organise a trip for us...

:)

He's changing pipe?

Cool!:thumb:

He's organizing a trip:dot:

With his new akra pipe, I scared he will leave us behind ; taking a miss on the routed pit stop and just skip to the next one instead.

Or worse, he will leave the Wee to dust again:faint:
