I finally found the source of the annoying rattling sound coming from the bottom of my stromie. I tightened the chain...still there....wrapped my mainstand foot lever with racket tape as side stand seems to be barely touching it ....still there...check all mountings around the mainstand area....no loose parts....still there.

While washing my stormie yesterday, I noticed that my rear hugger was loose because the rubber spacers inside the 'C' clamp bracket had dropped out. It was knocking on the swingarm causing the rattling sound.

Solution was to get those 3M rubber/foam pads (prevent furniture legs from scatching your floor) and pad up the part where the bracket contacts the swingarm. Now its nice & tight.

No more rattling! Those using pyramid hugger please check periodically on your right swingarm.

that's the good point about washing your own bike.

I would suggest that you add rubber protection in between clamp, prevent Scratch and rust when clamping

Cool! That is exactly how I was thinking of fixing the horn too!

Where did you buy that clamp? Is it a c clamp?

Bro you might want to put a mesh to cover your radiator at least! It helps to protect those flying stones damaging your radiator.

I remember one fine day I was at KnT and clifford shows me the damages a small stone had caused to a Haya. The owner says he felt something hit his bike while on NSH. Upon inspection the stone had rupture the fins a bit. Same goes for me... Before I fix the mesh....

Hi boys and girls,

My Strommy 1000 has just hit 20,000km mileage. I've not done anything major on it so far, just the usual engine oil and spark plug changes. Am going in to K&T for fresh oil, any ideas on what else needs to be serviced? Throttle-body sync? Valve clearance? Any advice appreciated, thanks!

That's interesting... the lights is being put at the air vent.....

That actually looks like Varadero 1000, with the signal light interegrated into the body.

pos·er (pozr) n.

A Sportbike rider who habitually pretends to be something he is not and only care about how they appear to the public as their bikes are nothing more than props to get them noticed by girls or even teenage boys which they want to impress with fictional tales of all the hardcore riding they do.

Hi guys, I am interested to install the alarm system.. Anyone with it, can advise me on this?

i never have good thoughs of bike alarm.

1st it may drain ur battery

2nd the distance stated on the box or manual it only applies to flat plains only, without wall or any other obstruction.

i think using a disc lock alarm is better like 'xena'

http://www.xenasecurity.com/home/current/lock/

chong aik is the agent selling this in singapore.
