Need your help urgently as my bike r/r not charging properly (11.0 to 12.7 volts). Battery replaced past 7 days.

Tried to replace with Shindengen r/r but seem no shops to know this brand.

Anyway back to your problem...u might want to check the coil first then rectifier...since u already change ur battery...i believe thats the normal procedure when charging is an issue...

 

Anyway u might want to check with K&T, their chief mech clifford is familiar with the strom...

 

Last resort, Guan Hoe Suzuki is the place to go...if Suzuki agent cant do it..then :faint:

Wats your model of ur strom ? check ur coil also, coil is around 400 plus i changed my coil r/r n batt all at once that time .. of cos kena "internal bleeding" after that LOL:angel:

Can I know first whether u measure this voltage when idling? I get it during idling with brake lever pressed. When moving off I get ard 14volts. It could be some heavier than normal voltage loading. U change anything for ur v-Strom?

Reading taken when idling and cruising. If the reading less than 14.0v while idling/cruising showed that charging not ideal, may be stator/coil or r/r issue. Please refer to the forum attached previouly by me. Enjoy reading.

Anyway, I checked mine at Planet Motor todsy and confirmed the stator/coil need replacement. Estimated by Ah Chong, be prepared to handover $300+:cry: but somehow no stock and may be can ask Ah Boy?

use a multimeter & throttle to 5000rpm & check reading. high chance coil prob & don forget u have to replace gasket too. for magneto coil, suggest that u ask agent. & don ever try re-con coil :thumb: last, check battery status too if not change rect. change coil then battery gone... back to sq1. Cheers

Guys, I'm planning to try out a new pair of tyres. I like to sell my current pair of battlewings to anyone who might need them. Still have decent thread life left. Letting go as a pair cheap. $100 bucks. Will take pictures tomorrow when there is light.

for those who need to buys screws. u can go to yong seng they have 2 outlets, 1 at french road other is at ubi area. but i prefer to go to the french shop as the people are more friendly.
