hey, that's was wat exactly happened to me when going up cameron highlands.

 

rammed the brake and the bike throw to the right. must be due to the application of foot brake which is on the right.

ABS do have their pros and cons . Normal road and city riding , having ABS would be wonderful , however ABS is not recommended for offroad and could do more harm .

 

It would be great if there is a ABS ON/OFF control onboard . I feel it would not be cheap to install . A lot of modification needed .

 

My advice - invest in good brakes pads & steelbraded hoses .And of cos ride safely tats important .

The video above shows very well what ABS does. Especially in wet tropics this is a safety plus, but also on the dry. For example whenever a taxi driver decides to stop out of a sudden. We know all. The GS has an off switch for the ABS. In certain riding situations when off-roading this can be useful. The DL650 ABS does not have an off switch, Suzuki says because it is not a real off-road bike.

 

The DL1000 was never available with ABS. ABS can not be retrofitted to any bike.

i would be adding a 2nd bike to my weestrom in one year time.

 

not a replacement bike for my wee though, a new one.

 

i have fjr in mind.

 

what other bike strommers like you will go for after your experience with the strom?

 

i may share the ownership of the new bike with another rider to cut cost. if you are keen about the scheme, let me know.
