This story rings a bell. Heard it from ma fren whose YBR bike was parked next to urs. I feel ur pain bro. It must have been tough on u. So r u able to claim from insurance??

hehe, got my newest addition on the farkle list. Smoke tint shorty windscreen...woohoo. Will post pic and report of how it compares with the stock screen when i got more time. Just fixed it tis morning :)

I get more direct windblast almost like riding a naked bike after gotten used to higher screen. But at least there is less turbulence around the helmet. So far so good for riding at sg roads.

 

 

so what's the top speed with this short windshield?

im currently doing my in camp training...

will be back riding in october just in time for 3CNR...

 

anyone have plans for 3CNR?

if possible strommers go up together...

 

 

annual leave no enough for 3ncr. :sian:

 

i will be going to betong during the 9-11 aug, with a group of bikers from one day trip outing. :D

Never try any top speed, no balls to try in sg road leh. but if S4 can go at 180kmh with no screen at all, I think it does not matter if the screen is high or low. The reason I changed to short screen is because the stock screen causes some turbulence/headshake, esp so when cruising on highway. My cruising speed on sg highway: 100-110kmh, nsh: 140-150kmh.

speed will sure be compromised. my top speed on nsh is 180km/h with the stock windshield.

Wee and V strom all in Loois now. There are 3 Wees and 2 Vs when I bought mine. (Wee). Mr Lee says price going up for next shipment so I quickly grab now. The Hondas rise the most he says.

DL650 is not cut out for speed in the first place, I think u may have outgrown this bike liao and looking for ST or FJR kind of cruising speed. It'll be the same for the DL1000 with tall screen and full load of H&B side boxes. It is more for comfort riding all day in the twisty roads rather then sustained long period of high speed cruising on the NSH. Time for a 2nd bike? :D

vpost emailed me that they hav received the goods and will advise me the shipment charge before they deliver to me.

u r right. wee is not built for speed.

 

i only hit 180km/h for a couple of seconds. cant twist the throttle any further. cant stay at this speed for long.

 

anyway it vibrates badly after 160km/h with the top box.

 

the best cruising speed is still between 140-150km/h on nsh.

 

my next bike will be fjr for touring. :D

Wah piang Mcfizzo!!! Melted front, ashes n burnt marks everywhere. Tho it could've been worst but still heart pain man. If it was me, Ill probably drop tears. N to thk this had to happen outside an SCDF camp. Pls feedback to ur unit to allow parking inside camp or that they build a carpark next door for reservist ppl to prevent re-occurances of such.

 

Can claim from insurance? Hope they dun say coz u didn't park in proper parking lot so insurance does not cover? Whatever it is, I hope n pray the best for u bro...

i went to looi motor saw the last wee there with ABS man, but it seems slightly higher than then the Vee

 

the signal light is tinted orange instead of clear

 

they still have 2 set of 1k instk
