Blew a head gasket at PG once on my CBR1000RR.

Meng Tong replaced it for me. Total cost was like almost $500.

I took the opportunity to the valves clearance checks and decarbonise. And put in a Cometic high comp gasket.. which was like $120 from Biketech21.

Your stock gasket is about the same price.. might as well put in a high comp gasket and feel the power. :thumb:

PS - Meng Tong is now working at Mah Motors.

Gaskets will give way, head gaskets tend to also give way when bike is running too lean.... too hot.

But now that I look at your scenario... it don't seem like a head gasket issue but more the coolant pump. There is a seal that sits on the shaft of the coolant pump impeller. This seal separates the oil from the coolant.

Might want to check that out first.

I serviced it at Planet Motor, and the damage was $500.

Does your repair fee inclusive of valve clearance?
