the easiest way is to pay off your 19 installments...

only then..u can transfer the name of the bike to someone else...

what you can do is to try and negotiate with your buyer...is he going to pay cash? or still continue?

if he is going to pay cash...tell him to follow you to the bike shop...pass you the money...so you can pay up to the shop.

2 days later...arrange to go to LTA for the transfer.

if your buyer also going to pay by installments...then you can only add him as a sub-rider..

It depends on your bike shop. Usually most bike shops will let you transfer to another person without a hassle and will settle the insurance for the new buyer as well but there are some shops that required you to clear your installments first with them before u can sell off to a private buyer.

About the insurance thingy, usually it's done almost at the same time, transfering of ownership and purchasing of insurance. I'm not sure which must comes first but you can request the bike shop to settle for the new owner.

Try to align the insurance date to your transfer or the road tax. Its easier to trace/track. There is no dealine on transfer, you can do it anytime but your insurance premium still runs....depends on you...you wound wanna waste money on the premium....
