If you intended GP units by the word "device", there are quite a few dealers. check the older posts in this thread and the answers are all there. Price is determined by whether you want maps, warranty etc.

BTW, anyone knows how to add a POI onto MalSing's map? Not just a waypoint, but a POI. Or do I inform the moderator and ask him to update?

Cheers

I recently acquired a Nokia N82 (very nice phone) with GPS capability. Does anyone know where I can get a mounting bracket to mount it onto my bike? Thanks!

i've used a 3M velcro tape to secure my GPS on the IU unit.Fixed the tape at the back of the belt clip and fixed it on my IU.Looks secure but i've constantly checked its secureness juz in case. And of course i also the landyard ard my IU unit juz in case.

And the most important is i'm able to glance on my GPS w/out compromising my safety and other road users.

Act according to own risk.

My orgasm starts at 299km/h.....

One thing good about the nokia navigator is that can connect the fone via bluetooth i.e. get instructions via normal earpiece.

My eTrax just beep beep, hence not so good, but I use it mainly to countercheck positions, so good enuff.

Does anyone have the coordinates of the seafood place (half on land, half in water) that faces northern singapore? Would appreciate that.

Cheers

Sound like that PG one; I remember that a Giant is along the way, then go along some ulu road and then ... wow.

The "kelong" was not alone, there was a few lining the shoreline. Walked past fish tanks etc before the dining area. Below is the sea or when low tide, mud.

Sorry for vague recollection, it has been years.

Bro Yameken,

I got the same model. Tried DIY a braket but unsuccessful. I'm looking for a ram mount also. Share with me when you have found it!

Thanks.

RAM mounts can be purchased overseas via Internet. There are many suppliers, with different packages and shipping rates. Get one that is suitable for ya.

The smaller Garmin GPS has a bicycle mount that can be mounted on handlebars (not clip ons).

HI guys,Juz tried my alternative GPS mount using 3M velcro tape.I must say that the 3M tape really secured my GPS.Travelling to Ayer Keroh at speed of 200+km/h,the unit is still secured. One of the cheap alternative.

Mount the tape on my IU unit and added a sponge under the belt clip coz if not the GPS unit tend to bounce vigourously. The sponge acts as a buffer to prevent the bounce. For added security, also secure the landyard ard the IU for additional security.Try it.A word of caution though.check for its secureness once a while while riding by pressing down the GPS against the tape.Juz to make sure.Happy trying.

And sorry can't post any pics due to company regulation...:)

Bro, the velcro used is ordinary 3M type or the studded type?

Hi Cat,

Yes its the 3M tape with velcro(transparent type) available at Homefix.Price ard $5-4+

Best use with this dimension.

L-4 cm

B-current 3M breadth is good.

The idea is to have many *fingers* attached to each other. The more fingers the better it is.:thumb:
