Anyway, how does the Marbella compare to Garmin? I've PMed the fella.. asking if there is any waterproofed ones, yet to get a reply. The Marbella seems to have a more interactive screen.

Not that I know of any waterproof Marbella gps.

The Marbella gps cannot run third party maps so you are totally dependent on them for map. They have made some quite out of the world promises like free loans of overseas map, lifetime map update...etc.

Technically, the Marbella has a better chipset, more features & functions, better graphics, and probably even better software than any Garmin of the same price range. However no matter how fancy and sophisticated a GPS can be, it is still a useless piece of junk if the map is not consistently updated at regular intervals, reliable, reputable and, most important, FOC.

Hi Demon,

True enough what u said. I read abt all the lifetime updates etc. That lured me to read up on it, but im not sure if all those out-of-the-world promises would materialise even.

Graphics-wise... i think it definitely beats Garmin. But Garmin has and will always be the mainstream ones.

If u have any lobang for 2nd-hand Zumo, do let me know. Haha.

Marbella and Holux have the best graphic that will left u to admire and enjoy...but one problem spotted...Marbella can detect my postal code...:cheeky:

Sitex yesterday

This two GPS was for recommend for rider...

1)Nuvi 500

http://www.n7cfo.com/vhf/gps/nuvi500.jpg

Waterproof, rugged and best of all come with free bike mounting...

But was stated as same engine as the nuvi205...u pay extra for the waterproof and perhaps the free bike mounting....

Result in $270 more...

So if i were to buy a nuvi 205...will my mount plus water proof case cause more than $270?

2) Tibo xroad

http://gizmod.ru/files/6690/19_moto_3.jpg

Cant really remember what was the price qoute...but it almost similar price to the nuvi 500

comes with bike mounting too...

Extra pack with multimedia function available...

anyone using it?

I wanna find out bout mounting before i commit gps...later buy already cannot mount also headache...Anyway Garmin product i dont think there is any issue about bike mounting...seen alot of aftermarket product for it...not sure bout the other brand...

Postal codes search has nothing to do with the devices, the magic is in the map. If Garmin gps loaded with MFM/SLA map, it can also do search by postal codes.

I hope you don't mean this one

That's a hopeless piece of rubbish.

Get a Ram Mount, it may be abit expensive, but it's worth every single cent. Heed my advice, you will thank me later.

2) Tibo xroad

I'll give that a pass.

What's good with a GPS even it has wifi, bluetooth, and watch blueray movie but cannot navigate properly ?

phew... finally finish really all 43 pages since this morning... lolx what a way to start work for the new year... anyway... went down to perfect watch yesterday to ask abt nuvi 500, was quoted $359... but no stock... nx was zumo 660, quoted $1200 initially but after my friends and i were discussing abt how much cheaper JK was, the lady sales person later tell us $990 best price. I was like WT*... ok conclusion, I be most likely getting the oregon 200 cos it is cheaper (app $400), waterproof, double "A" x 2 batt. so no worries if half way no batt cos jus need to bring spare batt plus all petrol kiosk should have AA size batt. I dun need compass so oregon 300 (quoted $650) is over spec and price for me. Definitely will get Ram Mount from Mr. Low from JK Commercial and he just came back from Thailand on his bike so hopefully can get some way points from him too... thats my view ... Cheers.
