hey happy125, if u wan to do a through check, just go to any motordiam, tell them wat u want them to do, stand down there and watch them do. that way, they cant say they got do but no evidence to prove it. u can rest easy oso.

He made comments on my bike & claimed that...my dampers is the main cause to improper wearing of the front tyre(he asked me to take it off!!), my forks need another gd service, the oil is insufficient & of poor oil standards..., to remove brackets on my footrests, battlelax 090 is not a proper tyre but recommended mechelin pilots insteads.....he query to y my fronts in on a 110 when it shud be on a 120..he also said that my handle is a no no, the side farings shud also go.....that jacking my onlins is not good(when i did not jack the bike at all)....

 

improper wearing could means worned out bearings, unbalanced wheel, but definitely not because of the damper. i take it that you are referring to a steering damper.

 

fork servicing. what's his definition of good service? OE seals, new bushings, quality oil and correct amount? and w/o opening the fork, how does he know that the oil inside the fork is insufficient and of low quality? hmmm..

 

tyres, as long as tyre size is right, it's ok.. there's no proper tyre for each bike. of course he recommend michelins, higher price and higher profit for him..

 

imo, he's just a whole load of bull.

i know some of u guys think that that XJR is just a shadow behind other bikeys....BUT i know for myself that OUR 'X'factorJR is a fitting bike for all...It is good for travelling....it have good ohlins rear shocks, a sexy rear tailbox & a beautiful tail lights to boot....A big 21 Litres tank that make we feel good when gripping the tanks in high speeds & corners...

On top of that, EO is only 2 litres with NO overheating Or WaterpUmps to worry...

I loooove it....NO regrets of whatsoever...With XfactorJR...I lives...

Guys, just my luck i guess...i met another XJR4 at Yuh Loong today evening...well, i managed to have a chat wit him & exchanged hp numbers...He can't make it this Friday(Army Regular has Duty)...well hopefully he(& the rest of you guys...) will be coming forward soon & come for subsequent gatherings by fellow bikers......

I also found out by the boss of Yuh Loong, that most XJRers are from his shop. He claimed to have sell 20 yellow xjr4s alone at the shop...(I saw two xjr4 in my two hours there & one of them chat with me..) He also claimed that he have intensive knowledge of the XJRs as he is the dealer of YAMAHA bikes...
