How to maintain paintwork?

How do remove tiny scratches or marks that appear out of nowhere? anyone can guide on how to wash/wax/polish? where got sell most variety of these kind of products? Use what kind of cloth wont scratch the paintwork?

There is this new product sonax if i'm not wrong. It helps to remove scratches and dull paintwork

i wash with detergent and sponge, wax my paintwork with turtle wax bought at giant for about 11, wax my leather with waxco about $3 and then maxima chain wax for my chain lube(12).

After i use Meguire NXT wax. I throw all my old polishes.

If you wanna remove existing swirl marks get the remover brand "KIZZ" purple box. Can get both in Carrefore.

i use turtle wax your dull paintwork will shine again.. actually there are many in the market.. microfibre cloth will be good..

you just pour water over, then wash a cloth wipe, then can apply wax.. after a while buff the wax off..

carrefour and giant have alot of these products..

swirl marks turtlewax also got 1 product for it.. kizz? maybe i should go search for it.. thanks..

Ya KIZZ has been for very long and it effectively removes swirl marks but its costly and once after apply its hard to remove also.

if u using dish washing or clothes detergent (e.g. mama lemon, dynamo, etc), strongly suggest to stop using coz they contain chemicals that will "eat away" the gloss layer of your paintwork. better to use car wash shampoo

Sometimes the tiny scratches and marks are a result of using inferior cloths when wiping your bike down. Happened to me before. What I did to restore the shine (to a certain extent) was I used TurtleWax Scratch and Swirl Remover. Most petrol stations would carry this product. It's easy to wipe on, but you must apply pressure on the cloth to rub the polish into your paintwork. Don't forget to use a proper polishing cloth if you dont' want to scratch your paintwork further.

 

If you wish to try upmarket products, you can go to Harley-Davidson Showroom at Alexandra Road and buy S100 products there. I don't know any other place which sells S100 products.

 

You can check out http://www.s100.com for more info on the types of products suitable for your bike. I have used these products before and the results are much better than other products commonly available in the market.
