united first start of the game r lack in goal scoring form n momentum, rhythm of they're moves. bt in the end who get the last laugh. like last season Arsenal was oustanding. thy're top in the BPL but who wins the BPL??? Man United!! but dun forget Chelski. lets hope United wil play better in the upcoming game.

;4653661']ronaldo will be back this week

good news!

Yeah man! And i hope he's not the kind who needs to get past being rusty for a long time. And what's up with the media and their 'poor Ronaldo-OT reception' issues? The source is prolly someone trying to unsettle the player once again.

And against Villareal, we can see Giuseppe Rossi playing! Damn i liked that kid.

I have the best signature.

its probable, even i'm angry that he publicly expressed his desire to leave the best club in the world for the ex-best club in the world. He better pacify me with another 41 goals when he comes back. :gun:

Relax!

FT: Man Utd 0-0 Villareal

Dominated for almost the whole game, apart from Villareal hitting the post. Damn man!

JSPark, Nani and Evra were brilliant. Evans also did pretty well, and he can use both feet! His header hit the post too...

We should've won lah. United players were too shy to shoot just now, especially Fletcher. Park should've won 2 penalties, both kind of clear-cut.

And holy-wow, the reception for Ronaldo when he came on!

I have the best signature.

Manchester United remain adamant that their £56.5 million shirt sponsorship deal will be unaffected by the huge uncertainty surrounding AIG.

It is understood that AIG is seeking a $40 billion bridge loan from the Federal Reserve in an effort to stave off a downgrade from credit ratings agencies and also shore up the capital of its holding company.

The news surrounding AIG came on one of the worst-ever days on Wall Street, with US investment bank Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy protection and the Bank of America moving to takeover Merrill Lynch & Co.

United's agreement with AIG is the richest shirt sponsorship deal in English football and was signed in April 2006 after Vodafone ended its £9 million-a-year deal. The contract with AIG is worth around £14 million a year, with United confident that the company will be able to fulfill its commitment to the agreement.

On Friday, West Ham were forced to terminate their shirt sponsorship deal with XL Leisure Group following news that the holiday company had gone into administration.

AIG is reviewing its operations and discussing possible options with outside parties to improve its business after a week when its stock dropped 45 per cent amid concerns about the company's financial underpinnings.

"A lot of meetings (are) going on. We're looking at a lot of options. We're talking with a lot of parties," said spokesman Nicholas Ashooh.

New York Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo and a representative of the state's governor's office spent the weekend at AIG's offices working with the company and others to craft a solution that protects policyholders.

AIG's chief executive, Robert Willumstad may announce a turnaround plan today, possibly involving the disposal of major assets including its aircraft-leasing business and other holdings.

The New York-based insurer had previously scheduled an announcement for September 25.

Willumstad has indicated he was willing to shed some assets, saying about a month ago that a "less complex AIG would be a better competitor".

"We're assessing all of our businesses and looking at options for how AIG ought to compete in the future, what kind of businesses we ought to be in," said Ashooh.

It is understood that Willumstad approached the Federal Reserve late on Sunday to seek funds as a temporary measure, with the plan to repay the Fed with the proceeds from asset sales.

Former AIG CEO Maurice "Hank" Greenberg, who ran the company for nearly four decades, was not involved in any of the discussions, according to his spokesman, Glen Rochkind. "He repeatedly offered to assist in any way he could," added Rochkind.

AIG was founded in China 89 years ago. In the years since, largely under Greenberg's watch, it grew into one of the world's largest insurers, spanning 130 countries and territories and serving 74 million customers.

Greenberg stepped down in 2005 and his successor, Martin Sullivan, was replaced by Willumstad in June this year. Greenberg still owns or controls about 12 percent of AIG's stock, making him the largest shareholder

Hmm .. Man U should not have to worry. Realistically, a club of Man U's stature should have no problems getting sponsors. Its just getting the best deal that may be tricky.

hey welcome bro.. GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!! even though United draw to Villarreal, the match was brilliant. villarreal football was great. they showed hw to play against the champions. they're one-touch passing was the moment i expected. i believe this is not a first team villarreal. they not featured marcos senna, carzola came out late, rossi & etc... as for United i've been waiting for C.R, Ando n to bad Berba got injured. United seems to find their form back. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

actually i watched the game against Villarreal i wasn't that glad abt their performance apart from Park (but still got alot room for improvement like b4 receiving the ball look where to pass, if he do that he can assist to nani which he is open twice) and erva .. if u realise man utd passing is not that gd n swift enough .. i am comparing present Chelsea and man utd .. mayb man utd form is not there yet .. but still tis is nt a performance i expect from a EURO Champion .. or mayb is Alex ferguson fault as almost every start of the season man utd did not perform well ..

P.S: I m a man utd fans which expect great performance from a EPL n EURO CHAMP GLORY MAN UTD !!
