When I saw Manucho play, wow, he really didn't do much, for a 25yr old, he's really tall like 193cm plus, and really big, he hasn't got the speed, but can't say so much in his 1st game for man Utd. but he had two really good chances but missed. :faint:

Well, didn't expect him to come on and make an instant impact but it was good for him to have a taste of premiership football. Welbeck seems to be more like a future starter than him to be honest, and to top it off, he's 7/8 years younger!

The Future's Bright For United

I was at Manchester United to witness their demolition of Stoke when Ronaldo was the star turn.

But I was more excited about another generation of young players which suggests the future is bright at Old Trafford.

Teenager Danny Welbeck, 17, came on and scored a 25-yard corker to show he is one for the future. While Darron Gibson, 21, and Manucho, 25, both also impressed as subs.

With Rafael, Anderson and Nani also on the bench, it was an insight into what United are going to look like in four or five year's time.

So, although all the talk is about Arsenal's youngsters in terms of the sexy football they play, it is United's who may end up picking up the prizes.

The crucial difference is not in terms of individual talent but how they will develop. United have proved the importance of blooding young kids alongside established stars.

Take Jonny Evans who played alongside the outstanding Nemanja Vidic at the back on Saturday.

He will have learned not just from playing himself but from being next to the Serb stopper - and that's priceless.

Arsenal's youngsters don't get that experience because there are not enough mature role models at The Emirates. :thumb:

United eye move for 'new Solskjaer'

Manchester United are understood to have made an offer for Norwegian star Moa Abdellaoue - branded the 'new' Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 23-year-old, Norwegian born but with Moroccan parentage, is a full international having made his debut for Norway earlier this year against the Republic of Ireland.

He is now back in the squad for their match with Ukraine after he helped Valerenga win the Norwegian Cup final.

A host of English clubs were present at the final when Abdellaoue fired a brilliant brace and that has now seen the interest in the striker intensify.

Now United have seemingly leapt to the front of the queue to land the player after inviting him to train with them, something which is possible given the domestic season in Norway has finished.

It is reported in Norway that Jim Solbakken, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's agent, has helped to broker the move.

Valerenga would not confirm that Abdellaoue would be heading to Old Trafford until the finer details had been settled.

"We can't comment on anything before we have anything formalised," Valerenga director Pal Breen told Verdens Gang.

The player's personal advisor Erik Moe also refused to comment on the United offer.

"This is up to Valerenga to comment," he said.

"Moa has only one focus now, and that is the international against Ukraine on Wednesday. It is important."

Saw the news about Real claiming Tevez will be their player next season?

Again they are at their shameless self. Again targetting MU's players. They certainly deserved their current predicament.
