I have no problems with the mcct. Zero leakage but recently i noticed a buzzing sound coming from underneath the tank at certain rpms. Rev it alittle more and the buzz goes off but drop the rpm to that same spot and it comes back. The bike still runs great but the sound is simply annoying. I've done almost everything i could to zero in on the noise but to no avail.

 

Any of you guys facing the same problem?

papadum..maybe sumting is loose sumwhere underneath the tank area , could be bolts..or even ur clutch lever vibrating and u dun notice...especially new bikes.things tends to get loose after riding for a while...

 

ANOTHER THING IS....maybe ur avatar fly trapped under ur tank calling for help...hehe:cheeky:

Yo Farid, been there done that already. Checked all bolts and nuts, skidplate, clutch freeplay adjuster, keys, header bolt, mid pipe joint and the fasten. Apparently, quite a number of them in TT have the same annoying rattling buzzing sound but choose to blow it off saying thumpers are supposed to be like that. I find that very hard to swallow.

 

anyways, the buzz came only after the kulai trip. You're probably right abt flies from the seafood restaurant flying into my engine through the exhaust.

yes it is the Counter sprocket nut....anyone know this and what is the symtoms if it is loose???

If loose you will find engine oil flowing out from behind. There is a thin metal washer in between the front sprok & the nut. Tighten the nut and flatten the metal washer against 1 flat edge of that nut. It should not come loose again.

hhmmm..alot minor things can contribute to dat sound....cant help much if i cant hear it...even ur clothing or helmet might cause buzzing sound wif ur speed of riding...

i'm gonna be doing a testing on DIY lens protector for DRZSM huge headlight.. managed to get a small piece of acrylic to do the job. if it's a success, then we do a MASS PRODUCTION ok? farid i need your hot air gun to assist me heh! will call u to arrange for borrowing.. or is it still with hardrider?
