Alright,

I still am waiting for a reply from SMSA on this. It has been two weeks since contact has been made. If there is still no reply, I will make a trip down to them to have an over table chat. As for track bookings, anyone knows how much it costs to book PG for half day or full day?

Thank you very much. I am really working hard on this. I am at the same time preparing my own motorcycles for this...so if it fails....I am gonna hurt my pocket..

A cool few thousand dollars if its private booking..few hours only. :faint:

Not sure if its possible but if you can arrange some kind of transport services to PG for this I will be in for it. The biggest problem I have with PG is the hassle riding there and back. If I can just put my bike and myself in a lorry there and back I will gladly be a regular!! Happy to pay for that kind of service if it is available too.

To the comment I saw earlier about just putting ANY 400cc bike on the track together I think that is a bad idea, there are huge differences in the way a motard, scooter and 400cc roadbike will go around a track and it can make for absolutely mayhem and unnecessary danger. Have seen this kind of mix cause accidents on track sooooo many times back home.

I would recommend a 400cc "Road Bike" class which would include cbr, gsxr, rvf, vfr, zxr, s4, fjr, bandit etc. Sure the 400 sports bikes will be a bit more aerodynamic and a bit faster round the corners than a stock naked super4 but the way that they are ridden around is pretty similar and would make for good fun racing.

If you had enough motards then a group of their own and then an "all others" group but I don't think you will have that many 400cc scooters and cubs getting around.

Anyway pm me if there are any updates or progress, sounds interesting. Would like to get back into some casual, fun club level racing like we used to do back in Aus.

Alright lads!

Just been down to PG for the recent trackday. Had a word with Mr Syed and it is official that SMSA is supporting the Johor Clubman race for 400cc and below. The class is officially open and there is therefore no necessity to open another class according to them.

So for us who are interested, the Clubman in PG is running!
