hey guys,

just topped up my bike today and the calculated FC is :

 

27km/l

 

means i can go 350km on a full tank~! Original it was 18km/l

woo~~~

 

Reason : engine initial running in, kept revs below 6000rpm with smooth gentle acceleration, plus the idle mix is a bit lean as the rpms hang slightly with light throttle, not too good for a run-in but just readjusted it again Will post back again on my next top up~

1) Urgently need to change my carb, gear oil, clutch plates, chain and sprocket.

Probably bringing to Ideal.

2) Going to check out another shop who has a mech who knows Aprilia. Somewhere near HKL.

3) Also have to buy new valve. Heard our power valve sold at HKL pretty cheap.

 

I'm quite free this week, so anyone interested to head down to motordiam to service/check out parts, PM me to arrange.

 

Also need an overhaul soon. probably gonna get it done at Ideal, just like fibre....

cant wait for 350km full tank that kind of mileage man!!!

Like very unrelated post leh.... PPle talking abt milo changing to RS pipe, how come you talk abt mechanic?

 

Anyway, my milo is gone. The packing inside is frayed and my pipe makes a helluva lot of noise. Many fellow AOC members can attest to that.

When I pass road blocks on the opposite side of the road, all the police actually look at me, and all their heads turn as I pass... scary leh.

 

Monday was the last day of my freelance design work, was so tired all I wanna do was get home quick and sleep. Coming back from Jurong, had my head comfortably nestled on my tankbag, cruising sleepily past the speedcam, saw a flash in my side mirror. Checked my speedo, it says 100km/h. Looked up at the speed limit sign- 80km/h. Dont know if the flash was just street lamp reflecting in the mirror. Fook.

 

As if not bad enough, I ran 2 lights 500m from home. It simply didnt register in my mind to stop. It was more like "Oh looky, a *** light.... lalalala.... Oh sh*t!" Looked back for coppers. None around. Looked left and right, and back. Meanwhile, I passed another *** light further down the road. Fook fook.

 

I thought I'd better hurry home before my sleep deprived mind did anything more stupid. Opened throttle to get home faster. Last 100m, I flew past a dark coloured van. I only realised it was QX after I passed it and noticed the dark coloured van had a white roof and something on the front of the roof. Fook fook fook.

 

Oh Lord, if I dont get a single summon for Mon night, I promise I'll be a good boy from now on....

hihi...any idea wad can be use to touch up fairings?? my fairing got cracks n scratches due to bike skid over debris.

i got a slew of bad luck these days too , really make me damn sian for the past couple of weeks.

 

today my gf's helmet dropped from my back seat and a car behind me rolled over it. i didn't realize it till i went back to look for the helmet and security guard at the condo where the helmet dropped took down my particulars as the driver complained.

 

sigh... now i dunno what going to happen. haha can i make him pay for rolling over my helmet instead.

If you're not blind, you are responsible for where you are walking. Cant blame anyone but yourself right? You tell the driver this analogy and ask him, is he saying that he is blind, therefore he is blameless; or that although he can see, but he's retarded, and he cant react to a helmet sitting on the ground, cant help but RUN OVER IT, should he be absolved of all blame?

u mean not higher than 6000 rpm which mean average speed about 80 to 90 km/h

because i just try! it is rather slow, but it 's good to save some money on oil as to think twice to support a bike like aprila. :cheer:

if the helmet was under the tyre where it is not visible to the driver, how would he know? would he look under?

 

if the helmet dropped on the side passenger's side of the tyre, would he check?

 

Of course if the helmet is obviously beside his door or in the front, he should know...

Well, neither of us know the whole story because bktan didnt elaborate. It could have happened like this:

 

1) bktan was riding in front of the car.

Both vehicles are ON THE MOVE. the helmet falls off, the car doesnt avoid it, and runs over it.

 

2) the helmet has already fallen off bktan's bike, and rolled under the car, which is stationary and the driver IS NOT AROUND. He gets into the car later in the day and drives off, running over it.

 

kebeen, your reasoning fits the 2nd scenario.

My rationale is based on the 1st scenario.

 

Anyway, this isnt for us to judge...

my answer:

 

- bktan was riding up a slope, helmet falls off without his knowledge

- security guard says he say the helmet and wanted to go pick up which is laying in the middle of the slope

- toyota corolla speed up from bottom of slope and runs over it and supposedly damaged a bit of his bumper

- driver complains to condo management why got debris on the slope

- bktan drives back to condo to look for helmet and sees security guard

- security guard passes bktan back a broken helmet

- condo supervisor takes down my particulars for report of complaint

- bktan doesn't see damage on car cos car drove off already
