yo yo.. anyone wanna get those filters??

42k.... i think that can buy 4 brand new rs125s , 10 used ones plus still can supply 1 year of petrol

but anyway, the conical filter is great for track use, but i wont recommend for road use as:

1.it cannot touch water, if it rains, the filter will clog up and u gonna have terrible performance / stall

2.it is very hard to jet, unless you are really into jettings and have a proper track to test your settings repeatedly

3.it tends to suck up the goo / sand / mud on our not very clean singaproe roads which leads back to point 1

just my 2 cents, i may be wrong

for sale :

rotax 122 clutch basket - very low wear, see to believe!

25 piece cdr - brand new $8

17" monitor - flickers when cold $10

castrol chain wax & chain spray - still a lot left $5

it can't be fitted into the original airbox ?

put it in then cut off the top of the airbox

messiah... good idea!!

reserve your air box for me!!

hee

comparing UK weather and road condition with Singapore...

which is better?

if Singapore has better weather and road condition.. I don't see any problem with

using the filter..

I used to have a K&N filter on my Y2K.. the previous owner placed a cardboard in

front of the filter to block water spilling from the rear tire...

A second. What does this word mean to you? A blink, a fleeting moment, an ultra-small unit of measurement to measure performance, whether human or mechanical.A second is just a moment, but in motorcycle racing it has now become an incalculable distance.A glance at the starting grid of any motorcycle race is enough to understand how important this small fraction of time has become...

if u cut the bottom wouldn't all the crap enter from underneath ?

looking at my airbox... the top part is held by screws so no need to cut

u have the dimensions of the filter ? can measure to see if it fits

Thanx

Where did you hear about these 'flaws'?

And specifically what 'flaws' are you talking about?

Let explain to you one thing.

Why the Aprilia and Cagiva are misunderstood bikes.

9 out of 10 people will say Aprilia has a lot of problems/a lot of 'flaws'.

But then again, 9 out of 10 people dont know sh*t about bikes.

The RS 125 is designed as a race bike. It deserves nothing less.

Why people encounter problems with the RS and Mito is because they cant ride a race bike properly to save their lives.

Most pple just wanna get a bike to 'play'. They dont wanna learn how to service and maintain their bikes, they dont wanna learn abt optimal operating, they dont wanna learn about tuning, settings, etc.

They buy an Aprilia just because they wanna ride a nice, fast bike. Anytime whack can smoke the competition - for this kind of pple, get a cheapshit KRR or SP is good enough.

Because when you dont learn how to operate the bike right, it'll never give you its best performance.

Like if you dont treat a girl right, you can bet your pants will be staying on all night.

I've had to change some parts on my RS, and yeah, they cost a little more than what a similar part would cost on an NSR. But where does an NSR part come from? Where does Aprilia/Cagiva parts come from?

Would you buy a Gucci bag from Thailand for S$10?

Or would you rather buy a Gucci bag from Milan for S$2,000?

It all boils down to VALUE.

Value is NOT what you PAY.

Value is what you pay FOR.

QuoVadis,

Why dont you tell us who told you about Aprilia so called 'flaws'?

I'll personally go bicth-slap him.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

Oops...

Sorry, think I lost it back there...

I apologise.

I'm getting a little impatient with people who have never ridden Aprilia before bad-mouthing Aprilia....

Its like listening to me talk about why I hate Lamborghini and why I think Zondas are the best cars ever made....

Its crap because I've never personally driven a Lamborghini nor a Zonda before!

To other riders out there - Sorry. I'm not being an Aprilia snob. I respect all riders.

But I will not tolerate ignorant pple shooting their mouths off about Aprilia. That's all.

eyz....

Your Polini is only the end can, or the entire system?

I'm going back for reservist tomorrow, Mon...

3 weeks, high key exercise...

Sianz....

Seeya guys when I get my night's off.....

waaa...

took me 2 days to complete reading everything from page one... now my eyes become -> :giddy:

Anyways, is it possible to transfer bike if I don have license yet?

Any info please brothers?

Cos I got a deal for a cheapo FN Replica. Don't want it to go to waste. And dont want to have the hassle of paying every month to bikeshop either.

Appreciate it!

hehe, im sorry u had to endure the 106 pages of which 1/2 are contributed by me :p

but anyway, u can transfer bike, but u need to know the motordiam la, and u can't ride it anyway~ don't worry, the time will come when you pass

Anyway, if you are on a budget, look for FP onwards replicas... you should not need to pay more than 2K for FP - FR replicas, and these replicas come with a bigger carb, and have no cdi restricition :)

cheers!
