Me not getting RS125.. kena shoot 360degrees... From parents, from bike shop, from everywhere and everyone uh.. And to think of it, I haven't really stabilize my income and yet have so many financial commitments.. But will surely get this machine, just perhaps, 5 yrs later when I draw a more attractive monthly salary..

 

I dun wanna end up getting expensive bike but have no means to maintain it... See ya guys around...

It was because i wanted the older models that I kena screwed for... This is what was heard, "No resale value.. No real guarantee previous owner take care anot.. Now already 08 model, sure anot want to get 03 model? When i say ok la.. dun mind 1st hand 08 model since I foresee myself riding 2B for at least 2 years, then he say okay down $1500 need 2 guarantor, else $2K with 1 guarantor, how? I can teach you how to maintain this bike, you find guarantor first"

 

I was just stunned la.. It is not easy to get a guarantor, furthermore, I dun like to involve other people into my financial affairs... I dun want to struggle maintaining it.. I have heavy commitments which eats up more than half my pay currently, I dunno if I will be able to maintain it when it is in my hands.. dun want later my baby suffer because of my decision without much thinking.. It's either I wait till mid next year to get RS or ride KR first then trade of RS... So I guess for now, since I really need to get onto the road by mid next month, I will go for KR first, stabilize everything then grab RS.. But I dunno uh.. It was right sided dilemma... Heart say go for RS go for RS... Brain say, You siow uh.. If touch wood anything happen how? Must have savings first la! Then heart say nvm can sure find ways to get things done, Brain says, Can you use me to think?

 

I dunno.. I am at wits end and in tears la seriously..

That was the problem.. I dun have anything more than $2K.. Will need guarantor.. I shall not mention the shop name la.. been patronizing that shop for awhile.. The owner meant good.. He knows i have a lot of commitments dun want me to rush into a decision to follow dream in the end lose everything that I have had so far..

If really meant to be mine, it shall be sooner or later.... i am seriously considering it really hard... Kept telling myself in no rush, but backside itchy already want to ride own bike liao la....

Hey. . I'm curious. What's the difference between 06 Version RS125 & 07 Version RS125 comparing with 08 Version RS125 ?? Hope you guys can help me.

06 version: Rev only 12k, 07: 14k.

carb: 06: dellorto without TPS, 07: got it

ECU: 02 units 1 for rave valve, 1 for ignition, 07: intergrated ECU (1 unit)

06: has rave valve complete (standard), 07; optional

06: restricted at low rpm, 07: restricted at high rpm (around 9000rpm)

A question on 250..... How often u guys change ur spark plugs? I'm going for my 3rd this mth!! It keeps burning off.. I'm using NGK Iridium size 9 anyway.. Anything wrong with dat? Pls Help...

 

I change my spark plugs once a year. They are quite clean, usually with no carbon on it.

 

It is not the type or brand of plugs you use that matter. I can use the cheapest NGK BR9ES flathead and it still works as long as the expensive plugs.

 

Its all about the tuning, my friend. The nirvana where no carbon builds up no your valve and plug.

 

PS: my bike never needs valve cleaning either. hahaha

 

Feel free to come inspect my plug and valve during my DIYs.

Get a bike to suit your needs. Don't follow the rest of the pack and buy an Aprilia just because it looks good, handles well on the track, and is cheap to get it 2nd hand.

 

If you need a bike for transport, a scooter with roomy storage would be practical.

 

Many people buy an Aprilia for their first bike without fully understanding what they are getting themselves into.

 

Maintenance is a b1tch because the bike's built for performance, not durability. I change all my parts myself, hence saving a lot of money on servicing. The general majority of Aprilia owners don't lift a finger to DIY, thus incurring skyhigh maintenance costs. Also, mechanics don't really bother taking care of Aprilias because they know the owners will upgrade to a larger bike in time to come.

 

A sensible decision is to either get a reasonably priced transport bike, or find a seller who takes care of his Aprilia the way it should be, not sent to the workshop for every little issue.
