Just pumped a full tank of VPower before I came home and read your message.

Next time SMS me first?

It's OK. I didn't go tonite either. Just tired from work all of a sudden.

I'll prolly be going in Fri (tomorrow) nite if the weather permits. Perhaps 9 - 10ish??

2nd link. Wanna come along, just for the BLAST??

Any AOC interested too? Make this a 2nd link clear carbon session. The route is simple and nice.

- After 2nd link toll booth... can pump at the GP Esso/Petronas... or no need if you still have spare fuel...

- Then after that BLAAAAST full throttle for the next few kilometers until the GP exit.

- Take Exit number 2.... 2 X 270 degrees left hander exit corners to make a U-turn back towards SG direction.

- BLAAAAAST back towards GP gas stations

- Pump gas, chill out (got tables n chairs in Petronas there to chill :D ), TCSS, verbal masturbation, yada yada yada

- Head back to SG

Anyone? ;)

I'm afraid to ask this....

Did everyone here scrape through NS being a chao keng clerk?

Everywhere I turn, I see and hear people asking, 'When organise ah?'

But no one bothers to take the initiative to do anything about it. Come on, you're not 6 year old girls, how difficult is it to organise an event?

Never done it before? LEARN. You cant sit around waiting for someone to do something. Why cant you be the one who does it?

I always get asked, when organising this ah, that ah....

Yet, all I see is a general disinterest in AOC happenings. Despite the enthusiastic replies I see here, turnouts are usually dismal. Its always, 'I want, I want...' but when its handed out on a silver platter, nobody wants it. You want DIY Sessions? I organise them. But few turn up for it. You want meet ups? Sure, but 4 bikes dont really constitute 'convoy'.

Yes, its hard to match your timings. But do you really think I have time for AOC at all?

If someone told you, you'll be paid a million dollars for every pink sweater you knit, I'll wager my bike that you WILL find time to knit pink sweaters.

Its about priority. If learning more about your bike is really your priority, then I'm sure you'll find time to come for DIY Sessions; if you like rounding, and late night suppers, no time is too late for you.

I'm tired of people asking for this and that to be organised, and in the end, they cant turn up. Please dont be hot outside and cold inside.

If you think your bike needs servicing, or you want to learn how, you can pick up the phone and call the members in the AOC list. That's what the list is for. Or if you'd really like me to spoonfeed you, you can call me and I'll organise a DIY Session for you. I'll provide the location - windy, shaded, access to water, close vicinity to good food, town, and petrol stations. I'll teach you what I know. People with expertise, can come and share with others too.

I have a business to run, but I dont mind putting some time aside for you guys.

I wanted to have a messaging system for the members, for the following reasons:

- to update members of events

- to update members of traffic situations, specifically real time TP locations.

- to help sellers find buyers and vice versa

- to help riders in trouble, ie empty tank, accident, etc. Can notify all AOC members and those in the area can go help out a brother, yes?

I've never complained about this before, but I think you should know that I'm doing this from my own pocket. Every SMS I send out (some of you may consider it spamming), counts towards my own bill. I really dont mind this as long as everyone here is kept updated while out there on the move.... When it really matters. You send one SMS to me, I forward it to 25 members. Who's getting the shorter end of the stick here?

You too, can do something, start something, have a bbq, organise a rounding, rally all our guys to go M'sia to pump petrol and get supper (which is really good and cheap).

Dont always depend on Iswan and me to do everything.

Heh Lacri.

Tiring right?

4 yrs back when Hunter n me started the original AOC, we were lucky to get a number of like minded riders/owners who would meet up monthly.

It was always a 6 to 10 bike show. Boat Quay, M South, Changi V, anywhere basically. I guess it just so happened that the original AOC guys clicked, and were really into the bikes.

We had mainly outing sessions. Not much DIY sessions, cos we had a good mech then. Then again... some of our meetups were situated at the workshop... specifically Black's place. :D T'was fun.

Anyway, AOC 2004....

Hope U guys can pull things together just like the old days. It's always awkward to meet new faces that you only see as names on a forum. But once you get started, and get into it a few times, you won't regret it. Because once you know each other, you're not just "AOC guys" or "Guys who own Aprilias". U automatically become a sort of family.

That's the thing missing here. That's the thing we had in the old AOC....

Still remember it like it was yesterday... Hunter, Elf, WuYa, Briane, Roy, Alex, Joel, Jack, Zhelimn, Servo, rvf7972.

We've upgraded, moved on, got busy with work/family/life. Maybe our time is over.

Where is YOUR time to begin with?? ;)

rvf7972 is busy with work la, heh heh what else? But sms or call him and he should turn up. Or go look in the Kawasaki Ninja thread. ;)

Joel is a guy who used to ride a Y2K RS125, then a GSX-R400, then a CBR600F4i. He's doing his overseas studies now.

Yup. I'll be going in next week again... maybe mid-week, or towards the end.

haha i will have no chance to join you guys for m'sia petrol...

ain't got a passport.. shame uh?? haha

lawrence, anyway, during this 2 weeks, i'll try to email to Aprilia.com and at the same time check with Mah motor on the availability on the catalyic pipe. If it's still in production and widely available in Singapore. I think it will be useless to write in, don't you agree?? If it's negative from them, then at least we'll have something to back us up. But I think we can only write in to request for the approval of RS pipe.

i'm riding servo's ex 125

is it a setting prob ?

my frd said it's like this

Posted

nicky, ur rpm is around wat? if below 6 it will be normal to get that choking feeling... so dun worry

if not maybe its time to replace / clean air filter

effervasence(sorry for any bad spelling..hehe)

Differences b/w Y2k and Replica:

1. fairing

2. seats

3. engine...(replicas after 1998 and y2kuse rotax 122, pre98 replica use the older 123 engine)

4. cdi-restriction (due to newer 122 engine)

5. bikes wif rotax 122 engines have 28mm carb insted of 34 mm

6. Y2k got bigger slightly storage space

7. mirrors

8. Price :)

by default, replicas should have better performance while y2ks look more modern

and oh ya, pls dun bring the bike to me, i am not a mechanic :)
