nw most of the shops got the 08' 2nd version redy. its w/o the powercut. exactly like 06' one..

 

almost all of them are with the giannelli pipe redy - otr $13k+

the bike as mentioned is the one selling at 2.5k with coe ending at 2013. i've just viewed it this morning. and it feels good. but then again, i don't really know how to judge a sportsbike properly. the only bad part is cosmetic-wise. but that can be fixed up in no time. any advice from u guys? he told he took great care of it. and even have many accessories to give to me.

 

either, he's a really very nice fellow. or the bike hides an ugly skeleton in the closet. any thoughts?

 

damn! i can't even sleep now thinking about it. Need to sell off my current ride before buying this RS125. Cannot afford seh to maintain 2 bikes at 1 go. but my main worry will be the availability of parts for an old RS125. cos are they all the same or goes by year of model? the other worry is will i be able to fix it up to tip top condition.

 

sigh... a bit tempted to take on two bike loans at 1 shot this month. until i can sell off my reliable Pulsar 180. feels like keeping both but i need all the money in the world to maintain and make the rs125 to the way i will like it to be.

 

any experienced riders maybe can help me test ride the bike for me? if all goes well, makan on me la for the helpful person. so that, i will know what to change first. or if it is already good enough not to change anything.

1 shop at bt merah quote me 12k for OTR + insurance! mah motors quote me almost 15k. a bazaar in geylang quote me 15k! bloody hell.

can be done but too much hassle.need a mech whos good with electrics/wiring i think.price wise im not sure coz nobody here has done it b4..i know some overseas dude has done it.if u get an old bike,i think u better solve other problems 1st like the engine rather than cosmetics like this.ure better off get an 06 if u want digital speedo

if u have a limited budget i'd advise u not to get it and instead put your purchase on hold. unlike your bajaj if anything is spoilt it'd cost alot more to get it fixed esp on old bikes where alot of stuff is due for replacement. hopefully u can get someone experienced to help u take a look. dont rush.. u will regret it

change speedo cable..up to 05 onwards is very easy.if speedometer not workin,most likely the cable is spoilt.06 onwards is quite complicated

You mean the bike you viewed the speedometer spoil? Or you dun like Analog Speedometer so you wanna change to digital speedometer?

 

Buying off from another biker is all about trust.. If you have doubts, dun buy.. Want to be 100% safe, buy 1st hand from shop lor.. But dun be like me, bring along someone reliable who know the people so u dun get chopped.. Pls do find someone knowledgable on RS to go with you..

 

And yes.. dun rush.. Slowly take ur time..

if its the speedo cable problem just get it replaced, aftermarket that time i change less than 20 dollars, just hope its not your speedo gear or the speedometer itself that is spoiled. make sure you check which is the one that's spoilt before changing.
