But honestly I was freaked out by the happenings there that night. When we got there, there were about 20 people loitering outside the gate. When we were about to go in, one of them told us that a child spirit followed one of his friend home. They brought her to the nearest temple and bought some offerings to pray. Soon they came back with the girl and the girl (or something) was dragged back into OCH. She was resisting & screaming outside of OCH. She looked like she was possessed and about 3 guys had to drag her in. The guy told us that it happened when they were on the fourth floor. They did what they had to do and left after. As we were about to go into the building, another guy from another group told us to take care & be careful as he saw 4 spirts at the entrance pacing to and fro. The guy told us not to go in that night as there were lots of activity going on.

 

so when next trip? fri? which haunting ground? i thought of checking out the japanese cemetary..

my god...i did a burn out n my bike suddenly got lots of smoke comming from the engine...is it normal???

 

When you do a burnout, you usually burn up a lot of clutch.

 

It also puts a lot of stress in your engine. Is your smoke coming from your engine bay, or your exhaust?

 

If from engine bay, you could have:

1) churned up the gear oil which exceeded the top limit and it leaked from the gear oil overflow hose, or clutch cable port onto your expansion chamber. The heat from the expansion chamber then boils your oil off in a dramatic white smoke event.

 

If from exhaust, you could have:

1) blown a gasket, so coolant is leaking into combustion chamber, hence lots of smoke in exhaust.

2) blown a seal, so gear oil is leaking into your engine.

 

I have experienced all of the above 3 on different occasions.

zi tou hot. bought this 06 rs 125 from EBC , over at eunos. before i got the bike , this ****er tell me everything can , which includes putting the IU unit under sit , give me full servicing and topping up 2t oil for me till the brim, advise me not to spray gold rims which would fade easily. but i wanted it gold so he spray for me. on the day of collection , all he ****ing did was just to spray water on my bike , before i could move off. i asked if there 2t oil and petrol , then on the spot he ask his mech do POUR 2T OIL AND PETROL. ENGAGED GEAR 1 WITH MAINSTAND UP ZI TOU ENGINE DIE. waited 3 hours at bike shop , they told me that my batt was weak. so yeah i waited. after taking the bike , i rode off with my gf as pillion. at the traffic lights , neutral was fine , but once i engage gear 1 engine die again , keep on starting it , ****ing paiseh. the ****ing DIGITAL METRE SPOIL , IT SHOWS 0 SPEED. i tried whacking the bike. 5-6k rpm ****ing power like hesitating , but once after 7k rpm the power comes in. and if i ride normally without bring my first gear up to 7k rpm , my subsequent GEARS ALL ONLY MAXIMUM 4k RPM. ****ING 60km ON THE EXPRESS WAY LIKE IDIOT. went back to him , he did some **** , finally bike can bring up more than 4k rpm on higher gears , but first gear still ****ing jam at 5-6k. machiam turbo lag at 3k waiting for boost to come in. he said he already ordered a new digital metre for me. and the bike is damn noisy , he told me its full arrow system. but i think he dua kang with me. but its arrow pipe. ADVISE PLS , THIS **** IS GETTING ON MY NERVES. much appreciated.

Ok, in a nutshell, the flatspot (hesitation in power delivery) at 5-6k rpm is due to overly rich air/fuel mixture. You need to lean out your mixture, meaning you need to change your carburetor jets to smaller ones.

 

Rich mixture HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH 2T. It has to do with your mechanic using big jets on the carburetor (erring on the safe side to prevent a seizure).

 

Also, it would be good to change the brushes on the starter motor, and check your exhaust valve is installed properly (curved surface facing down).

and oh , i bought it at a machine price of 8k with 3 months warranty. any way to reduce the sound? i don't like it so noisy , spoils my day. before i could take the bike , he kept telling me that the key was at HIS HQ thus i couldn't start the bike at all before paying the downpayment. the joke is that on the day of collection which i applied leave to collect the bike , he told me bike can start with his *chief mech confirming that the bike has no problem and asking me to take the following day as tank key is still with HQ. i was ****ing puzzled , isn't the ignition key same as the tank key? IU unit he didn't put under seat for me as he say alot of wiring cant be done. Zz but when i gave the tech a new alarm system , they could wire it up for at a price of 40$ but not the IU UNIT. how can i improve the fuel consumption for the bike? even if its having less power i don't mind. what can i do to make the pick up better with good fuel consumption? i don't go for top speed. it's my first aprilla bike and i have totally no clue on the bike. rode sp vespa and x1 before , aint nothing like this bike so ****ed up.

 

Talk about 20-20 hindsight... Caveat emptor, remember?

 

You cant blame the seller for lying to you. You should have done your own homework beforehand, and not expect life to be a bed of roses.

 

I admire your courage to buy a bike based on trust. You didnt even try the bike out? hmmm...

 

Ok, when the ignition key is different from the tank key, it means the ignition has been changed before. Either due to corrosion from neglect, which seems like the case here, or damage from theft.

 

If this was not disclosed, then the seller is not being honest. Also, if you didnt bother to ask why, then the onus is on you to have done some research, which you didn't. So stop blaming a dishonest seller.

 

When your bike has less power, high consumption, it points very obviously to overly rich A/F (air/fuel) mixture. Mechanics in Asia generally prefer to keep A/F mixtures very rich to prevent seizure.

 

The only way around this is to change the jets yourself, since no mech would want to. Leaning out your mixture gives you better mileage (like my 30km/litre on my 10 yr old bike), and better power as you optimise the combustion. When your mixture is too rich, it doesnt burn all the fuel in the mixture. Excess unburnt fuel is wasted, and your bike is bogged down by the insufficent amount of air for the combustion.

 

Find a new mech, or find a new bike. This bike you bought is going to be a lemon. It will suck you dry, and provide none of the joys of riding an Aprilia that a few of us here are getting. I enjoy riding my bike so much, I've ridden it for 5 years. Most of the kids here dont make it past the 2nd year mark because they dont DIY.
