I saw a 06' above 125 crashed badly at the junction beside ten mile junction yesterday. Was just follwing with my KR behind. Perhaps he felt threaten? I could see how unstable the bike was mid corner. It was just drifting out even though it wasnt even anywhere near a proper lean. I always thought the Ape is a slow heavy problematic bike, which should at least provide a least bit of stability. How wrong can I be. Oh well.

 

Anyway Valarie, I ride a KR too. I am quite sure your KR would have won. I have a friend whose heavily modded Kawa actually won a RS250 flat out as well.

technically u wanan say krr can win an rs125 yes it can cos u got more 25cc and thus able to get more horses and higher top speed.

 

ur fren spend how much on his krr to win an rs250. guess a few thousands. since u saw ur fren bike is soooooooooooo powerful meet u this sunday trackday for a friendly one on one. i am using a stock rs250. ur fren using a super mod up krr which can beat any aprilia. how about it. the ball is in ur court now

Upon arrival at the Old Police Academy, kindly look for the NBW Event Organiser - Ms Fional to have your attendance taken and DO NOTE that participant(s) to be issue the "RIDE SAFE" sticker from the Traffic Police to be paste onto your bike as the NBW - National Motorcycle Convoy participants.

 

2. For SBF members participating in the National Motorcycle Convoy, kindly take note that SBF will be taking the rear position of the National Motorcycle Convoy behind the ST Owners Club - STOC (Singapore).

 

3. SBF members will be generally catergorise into three main groupings. i.e the Class 2, Class 2A and Class 2B group. It is based purely on the bikes you ride and if any riders wants to be riding together with the Kaki, friends and not accordingly to what was being segregated, we're fine with it.

 

MINIMUM DRESS CODE - ALSO APPLIES TO PILLIONS

- Raincoat or water proof jackets

- Long pant (min jeans)

- NO SLIPPERS please. SHOES is a MUST for your own Safety

- Cash Card (Pay ERP at Nicoll Highway Gantry : $1)

If Possible:

- Full face helmets (recommended) (at least open face with visor) no half cap helmet allowed - PSB Approved

- Gloves (protection)

Bro Wawan, thats hurting statement however I would say that KRR bikes are "Popular" rather than "Typical". My statement about Apriliia bikes; They are beautifully crafted machines.

Hello bro, I see that you wish to share with our fellow Aprillia riders here about your experience witnessing an unfortunate Aprillia rider met an accident and you did also commented on the bike's performances based on your personal thoughts. This is your rights.

 

Personally, I pray that the Aprillia rider is safe and may he is able to ride his bike again after the accident. Its such a tragic ride. But, when u witness it, did u try to help? I hope u did do something to provide relief to another fellow rider.

 

About Aprillia's performance is subjective issue. KRR too does gives big time problem if it is not properly serviced and maintain according to its manual. I believe it applies to Aprillia bikes and so others too. Regular servicing and maintenance does prevent unwanted situations.

Generally, a heavily modified KRR can achieve pure +/- 240km/h. However it is for short period of time and distance only before overheating and piston seizure.A pure KRR GP bike without illegal modifications can achieve such speed without overheating or piston seizure.

 

Frankly, based on experience, our 150cc can never match a 250cc bike regardless of whether its a NINJA 250R or Aprillia RS250. A great difference of 100cc is already a knockout blow rite from the beginning!! Ive tried with a Ninja 250R for 5km distance at NSWE and reality sets in that we are always powerful in our respective classes only!!

Hmmm.. at times i wonder why we seemed to attract ppl who just spoils the already damaged image of riders.. We are riders, and we should just respect and appreciate each other's bike performance, or so that's what i feel.

 

Each bike has its own pros and cons. It's up to the rider to use it to its full capability or to just showcase his bike estatically, or to have both.

 

Having Aprilia against Kawasaki or Honda, is just like choosing LV against Gucci or Coach. I still believe it's personal preference and what you want to achieve with it.

 

We all love our bikes regardless of their makes, so let's just say we love our bikes and it's natural to be proud of it.

Oh please I am past bragging. I just want to warn new/potential Ape riders to be reminded of the fragilities of the bike. I think most of them are really misleaded here.

 

There's another ex Ape 250 rider from long ago here who is riding a KR now. He was witness to the 250 being trashed too. He can be the proof ya want. I think his name is Alex. Someone around here should have his contact. Hahas we will see who is bragging then.

Lawrence - Chiang Mai was great. The downhills were amazing, but some of the climbs before the it were crazy. There was a day where we rode up for 4 to 5 hours consecutively (up to 2000m) and then it was pure downhill for 20km! Disc brakes were fully cooked at the 10km mark!

 

I will be at Pasir Gudang this Sunday, weather permitting. We can meet up somewhere and go together if you are interested. If not, I will catch u there. Anyone else from this thread interested? Wan? Or all are going to the NBW?

 

kwyjibo - u really manage to crack me up everytime i read ur posts. Its just so entertaining hearing how your life experiences revolves only around Aprilias.... You really should get around a bit more. Have a bit more variety. Maybe start posting in R6, or Ducati riders thread?

 

P.S. Hope the rider who fell is doing well and you did the right thing by helping him? That is probably something a reasonable person would do regardless of what bike he rides...

 

Just to give yo more fire power in future, i was overtaken by a Spark (or Kap Chai equivalent) during the last Pasir Gudang Track Day. In your books, it probably means Aprillias are now utterly useless and should be massively discounted at your nearest motortiam. In my opinion, it was a fun fun fun first time at the track and i hope to be doing it again this weekend (eventhough i am still likely to be overtaken by the Spark if he is around).

 

I must confess, i don't log in to this website much, but your threads are so funny that i log in just to hear what you can come up with next!! I sincerely hope you take life in general as seriously as you take your posts… At the end of the day, you and you alone are responsible for any decisions you make.
