Question for those that ride on the track - How many track sessions does your tires usually last? (assuming that you do 2 hour sessions)

 

Just like a reference as I believe my last incident on the track may be attributable to tyres which are worn.

For track tires, like the Dunlop GRP-70SP, about 5-6 sessions. After that, I'm riding on butter.

ha... But still a great tire in my book. Cheap ($200 per pair) and sticky (best lap 2:00min).

 

I think a good contender is the Alpha-10 or maybe even the 11.

 

Yes, busy flying so am getting too tied down with my personal matters. Anyway, I still DIY frequently but I seldom have an audience, save for the dedicated few. Like I always say, as kids these days have maids, many are reluctant to get their hands dirty, despite the lack of good mechanics in SG.

 

Most riders also lie through their teeth claiming they will keep the bike but we all know they're just waiting to get a larger bike.

 

Am also tired of sharing knowledge online. Nobody bothers to search for old posts, and I'm tired of reposting the same content. I'll just sit here and watch wrong information and misconceptions spread like wildfire while my bike enjoys optimal performance. hehehehe...

 

I just watched a new '08 RS125 disappear in my rear view mirror yesterday, with satisfaction, I might add. Judging from his engine sound and the smoke billowing from his exhaust, he was running too rich. Why should I help kids tune their bikes for free? They should learn to do it themselves, like I did, from tuning manuals purchased off Amazon.

 

I may be laying my bike up to wait for the race track to be completed in 2011. Going into photography, and I cannot support two high-cost hobbies at once.

ur tyres looked like they r used for more than 12sessions.. haha.

im sure u used them for more than 4 trackdays redy rite..

Nope. Mine is the battleax 090, replaced in late March. If i have time, I am going to get the alpha 10s this weekend.

 

I have only used them for two 1 hour sessions and 1 track day. (total of 4 hours or so).

 

Possible because i am a bit heavy and quite hard on the brakes? And i am also not a very smooth rider. Not sure.

 

Are you still on for Sunday? Keen to join! I think Macarena wants to go to.

haha. aaron that day zack call me say he miss the 2 stroke smell in the morning man. lolx. make me miss my old bike too. the 4 strokers are making me sick these days. lolx. i had thought about getting back a aprilia however the reputation of the newer models are stopping me. they seems to be full of problem nowadays. but i got to salute you ppl for being able to last so long with the aprilia man. my longest bike own so far also my aprilia. after talking to zack i got a serious intention of getting back a RS. Maybe end of the year if a good bike comes along. hahaha.

 

lawrence life is sianz in the local university man. all filled with boring lectures that are taught by ppl who doesnt even have their communication skills right. and having to fight for good results with our foreign frenz. lolx. photography is a ex hobbie man bro. but it is good for you la. since you travel so much you can go ard take good pictures. either way you dun really have much time to ride ard also. lying up the bike sounds ok. but 2011 is still quite awhile away from now man. can you stand the itch till then. lolx.

before i mod > my speed for rs 125 top> 198 km/hr

 

after i mod all my rs 154 now reaching 232 km/hr Digital showing

 

that why all not need to buy big bikes
