Hi Guys,

 

was indeed cruising @ 70km with gear 6. the horse riding came when the RPM drop and increase suddenly so the whole bike was in a jerking position. . shouldn't be 2t as mine is tune pretty high. 1st time having this prob. yeah, prolly could look @ carbs again. been 3mths since I last clean it. thxs for the advise, will send it in for servicing soon. . Yeah, Nge, Edwin and I are the last of the Aprilians who actually know how an engine works. Almost everyone else just wheels their bike to a chop shop.

Brand new original fairing is exp. Go get aftermarket fiber-glass fairing, slightly cheaper. Try search on net, get from malaysia or go Biketech.

hi bro. first, tell me which parts u need. the fairings are classified into many parts. the head fairing or cowling as we call it, two deflectors ( baffle ), windshield, left upper left lower, right upper, right lower, left tail and right tail and also the fuel tank.

u can go to mah get ridiculous prices at about 3-4 k at least easily on the whole set.

cheaper alternatives for these stock fairings can be found at ultimateparts, or aprilia geniune parts.

 

if u are mad enough (which i will do one day if i need any parts, perhaps a more cheeky option is to find an italian gf. heeh!), u can fly over to italy to buy it. why go to a shop and kanna chop, den wait for one bloody whole month for the things to come. there are times where we got to suck thumb. but if u have the cash, who cares. show them we are not at the mercy of them. =) sorry im very hostile in forum. but everyone knows chung is a loving guy. just dun wan u all kanna chop.

 

leaving the stock aside, u can purchase sebimoto from biketech21. one set is about 1k plus. u too, can order from sebimoto directly in germany, or from their factory in czeh republic. no offence again, biketech says they are the distributor, but we must understand they are here to do business. if u need the fairings, , most prob u gonna wait 3-6 months at least for the fairings to come, as they will consolidate orders and ship in as a whole to save shipping. they will say they are the distributor, and u will not get sebimoto elsewhere, well, too much internet surfing at home due to my crash in pg,

i managed to lias with sebimoto factory and their agent in germany. pm me if u need the links. u can just order and ship to singapore at about fees of 50-100 for shippign if i can remember. depends whether they got stock,

 

next u can get sharkskin fairing from af1 racing. whole set is about 679. very good set of fairings. but shipping is 450. and prices all in usd.

 

the last, u can go to first motor to make a replica of the fairings thru fiber glass. i think whole cost would be 600-700. sing dollars.

 

BIKELAB has made the replica of my race fairings last time. they are selling about 1100 for the whole set. sing dollars too. including the fuel tank as well.

 

cheers. hope im clear enough. oh ya, something to add, if ur fairings is still around, u can send for patching, replicaspraypainting, a shop owned by legendary ah kun, does a great job. after patching u can spray ur own paintwork. cost about 800-1100 for paintwork and patching. trust me u wun see any difference. and u get a unique paintwork of ur choice. about at least 3 of our brothers here are products of his work. trust me. workmanship is really there. =)

something to add on, ebay sells great prices on the fairings. from what i can remember, headcowlign of models spain no 1, selling at about 220usd. mah sells 600 plus sing dollars.

 

do search around. these americans and australians, most of them bought the rs125, and immediately switched to race fairings, thus they selling at way below prices market. =)

Thanks for all the info on the fairings. Was going to get everything from AF1. Wanted to make a little project out of my 05 model and switch all fairings to the 06 style one. You forgot the mention that the subframe has to be changed to accomodate the tail fairing though. Imagine, buying the fairing and then not being able to fit it on after a month's wait. Then you'd have to wait another month for the subframe to come.

Considering getting the Polini BBK from FM too. It's ~1.1K including installation, though I might just fix it myself to pass some time. Got to get a new set of tools to do that though, lots of my allen keys have gone missing. Bah.

perhaps mine is not tuned and setup well enough yet but they are like kinda using speed to challenge which bike is the best while i tink big bike like aprilia give me sense of comfort and security

1.1K for the polini including installation at FM? That's a really good price. Mah charges 1.4K if I'm not wrong. And they dont really do a good job. They're hopeless at settings IMO.

 

Regarding the conversion from 05 to 06, does your frame have the same mounting points to accomadate the fairings too? Better check.

I need to get the mounts for the 06 fairing. Decided to keep the rear subframe. Looks good from the rear. Still looking around for the fairing online. Not going to let Mah rip me off.
