I took this Indonesia make sport bike during last week in Lombok. Nice.....the main & sub frame are constructed by Alu tubing. Its a 4-stroke 250 with exhaust at tail end. Look like a small size Ducati. :)

2nd hand? fully stock? if push shop.. it's would be $2K.. or less.. if private seller, depending what he has done to the bike. I dunno.. maybe in between the $3-5K?

do correct me if i am wrong...

Its a private seller and most parts are stock parts. So it shld be 2K or less mm..

Thanks for your input.

Anybody else has experience buying rs125 2003 recently?

Hello,

New to this forum as I'm heading to Singapore for work on Sunday for 3 weeks.

I've got a 2009 RS 125 Spain's with a large amount of mods, you can check out my build log here - http://www.tjtuning.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=12588

Is there anywhere in Singapore to buy performance parts in Singapore, like exhausts, carbs, etc?

Also, anywhere to buy tyres and also a place to hire a bike ;)?

Appreciate your help.

Joe

You live so far still hang out at Bedok... but okay lah, since RS125 fuel consumption is damn good.

Hi guys,

One quick question, how much is the market price for 2nd hand rs125 2003 right now? Thanks.

A fully stock bike with no engine modifications will cost more than a bike that has engine mods, because stock engine is less likely to implode.

A bike with no engine mods but with trick stuff like aftermarket brake calipers, master cylinder, rear shock, front suspension, etc will cost even more, as these parts improve safety and performance.

If you are buying from a shop, it will cost $4-5K for a fully stock bike.

If you are buying from a private seller, the exact same bike in question will cost about $3-3.5K

What blastedgal means by market value is how much it is worth to a shop.

Most shops need to turn a profit, duh. They buy the bike from the previous owner for $1.5-2K. Then without doing anything to the bike, they sell it for $5K. It's common sense, and of course, makes perfect economical sense. But unfortunately most new riders don't know this.

ps: shops will always claim that they've done a lot to the bike, ie. overhaul, general servicing, oil changes, clutch and brake pad change, etc. ALL UNTRUE.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

Yup, looks like a turbocharger.

Naj, when you wanna do tuning?

I've got a theory on how to solve my lean carburetion. I'll try to use a cooler plug, which will cool the combustion and thus richening the mixture. Then I'll compensate by removing the filter sponge.

See, David used a B95EGV, which is slightly cooler than the regular B9EGV which I stock. As I have too many B9EGVs now, I decided to go back to the 9. Once I changed the plug, my combustion immediately became too lean, which means the combustion is too hot. I checked the plug color, it was still a healthy brown. But I know my bike, and this isn't the optimal power output I should be getting.

I'm going back to the B95EGV, but this means I have to start stocking up on my B95EGV, and dump my entire stock of 9s. Yeah, what a world of a difference the 9.5 makes from the 9.

I'm thinking of upping my jet sizes but I am restricted by my airbox, which I refuse to remove on principle. hahaha...

This poses quite a big challenge for me... But you know I love challenges. Ugh.

B95EGV FTW ... Used it before too, it works the best with a properly-jetted carb

However it's of a colder rating, so it should not be use for city / low-rev riding. Mine fouled within 2 weeks of use, after a few traffic jams. Even dragging the bike at 10 Krpm over a long distance won't clear the plug.

Still not as powerful as a 1U server rack fan ...

I think after my run-in done..? Talked to David and he told me need to run-in at least 400km then can change the jetting and also plug check. Plus it was a bit hard trying to start the bike from cold start that day man. Plugs are diff i guess. Plus, I itchy hand go and change to sprox size 16 waay back when with NT****. :argue: So now gotta get back a 17".. :faint: Tested my bike that day and it was perfect. No flat spots and such. Whoa syiok lah!! :cheer: But my engine did sound a little rough. But guess its ok for now..? :?
