dear friends of aprilia, one of our bikers in the world of sg, has left us. once showing how ****ed up the drivers in the singapore are, how **** is this traffic system, and how vulnerable we are on the road.

she is candy from GMAX. if you guys know her, her wake is at blk 241 Kim Keat Link.

me, vik, david and etc, will be going down most prob thursday night.

cheers. and ride safe. keep ur eyes open and always think early. always must have the thinking that the **** car in front is going to change lane without signal, the cb driver is not going to check his blindspot and just turn out, and whatever it is, they are the ones who are dangerous to us. avoid them.

That's great news Lawrence. Sadly the main thing i wanted is out of stock. Will PJME be updating you as on when will the items will be back in stock?

So now we only have to pay the GST costs?

Thanks for the update Chung. I did not know Candy very well but I have met her a few times to purchase a back protector.

The news of her dead made me pause for a while. It's been a while since I last attended the wake of a fellow biker. I must have settled comfortably into complacency.

It's true, there is danger everywhere. When I am on the road, I assume that every vehicle is out to kill me, so I am extra cautious of all vehicles. We must all ride like that, all the time.

Tentatively Yes. Only GST.

But I find I'm buying a lot of unnecessary items to make up for the lack of orders.... I think I'll end up paying more for parts I don't need and I'd rather pay the shipping...

I'm thinking of adding on to the order too. New deadline is July 16 right? I'm sure we'll have other ppl who want to order too.

Anyone wants to try an adjustable main jet?

http://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/products_details.asp?PartNo=53157&CategoryID=2&PartsectionID=33

Basically this allows for changing the main jet size without having to open the carb to manually change the jet.

You can simply alter the jet size using a remote adjuster cable...

Hmmm..... I think I'll try it out. Good for changing carburetion to suit our fast changing weather here in the tropics. You'll always be properly jetted!

Anyone else interested to get it?

Nice item>> but how to mount it n use it?? on to carb below?? hahaha

You know all our carbs have a nut at the bottom of the float bowl?

Just remove that nut, and replace with this provided. The main jet becomes adjustable using the tapered needle that fits into it, much like our needle jet.

Imagine you need to richen the mixture because it's a cold night and your mixture is leaner... Or you need to adjust as a storm in approaching and the pressure shifts... WOW! Main jet adjustment on the fly! Without stripping the carb!

I'm ordering it from Eurocarb! Anyone else interested?

Am also buying the Carburetor Tuning Software.

Nge? Vik? Isa? Patrick? Edwin? (((:-D

You can't use it, it is w/o tail light. Unless you custom make a attachment to hold the tail light.

I don't have any direct links to Dellorto. Haven't found them yet.

If you can purchase directly from Dellorto, I'll leave the organising for the mass order to you then?

Software ... How applicable is it for our humid climate?

How relevant is it to our homologated models, and who are the expert tuners / programmers who made up the program?

Sorry but kinda sceptical about such stuff ...

My ignition barrel went out on me mid day today. Damn fed, as i just had done some repairs for my bike.

Big thank you to Nageeb, Eddy and Chung for doing their part to help.

Bigger thank you to JK who came down to help me start my bike and go to a workshop at night to settle the problem. Thanks all of you!

Common problem for older bikes like ours. Luckily i had a spare at home. Brandnew will set you back atleast a 100 i think.

Check if the wires below the ignition switch are frayed or the soldering is loose. Also lift the fuel tank and trace the wire - check the connector for loose / corrosion.

May not be as bad as Vik's case - in which the keyswitch is gone case.

Hahaha! 2 bikes within a span of 48 hours?

Coincidence? :p

Just buy and try lah... Don't try, don't know.

Sorry but kinda sceptical about such stuff ...

I'm sure it comes with inputs for barometric pressure and air humidity for calibration, so as to suit the changing climate for some regions in Europe.

Anyway, I'm not asking anyone to buy. I'm the one buying...

I'm only asking if anyone else wants to buy the variable main jet, which is more practical.

When you change your digital display to the clock mode, has the time been reset?

If time is not reset, wiring in ignition switch/barrel is loose. Just need to open the bottom and solder the inside.

If time is reset, there is a short-circuit in the wiring elsewhere that's cutting power to the main harness. This is not good.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.
