Actually I've been doing quite a lot of DIY alone, just couldn't be bothered to post because I know usually no one will turn up anyway. Most riders don't like getting their hands dirty.

 

Will probably have one session after all the parts from PJ arrives in early August to fix everything up.

 

In fact, I've packed all my tools to go tune my carb in 10 minutes' time.

Is MX125 maintenance fee high ? How much need to set aside just for it ? Any kind souls please tell me. Because still pondering whether getting that bike.

MX125 is using the same Rotax 122 engine as that of the RS125.

 

Usual stuff to do would be change gear oil, change the balance shaft gears when you need to, clean up the power valve.

 

Complete overhaul will set you back around 1.5k-1.8k depends on how bad the wear and tear parts are..

Asking differently phrased questions won't change the nature of the bike, and that nature is that of a vampire.

 

Just join us, buy one and let it suck you dry, like the rest of us. At least, there is some camaraderie in our collective misery. We can meet up for supper and kopi to whine about how unreliable and expensive our bikes are to maintain, and usually out of 10 riders, there will be 2 riders who can't meet up or get home after simply because the bike is broken down and stuck somewhere.

If you want to heat wrap it, just wrap the front, from the header to the curve, about 3-4 inches. This is boost your low end, you'll get power sooner on the revs. No top end gain.
