Woah this is exciting... I haven't actually been excited by doing a DIY in a really really long time.

 

And thanks for putting your name down, Mr Boogie. Now all we need is a few more guest stars like Subzero and Seraph to grace our little session with their attendance. hahaha....

 

I'm really looking forward to 20 Mar now. But here's the thing. EVERY TIME I open my DIY to public, IT POURS. It doesn't drizzle, it doesn't rain for a little bit, no passing showers, none of that sort. It POURS. So guys, I would appreciate it for all attendees to PRAY hard to the gods you worship, pray for fine weather so that your trip down will bedry, pleasant, enjoyable, and safe. And that our ride out for dinner at East Coast Park Lagoon hawker centre will be dry and fun too.

 

It doesn't hurt to bring along a raincoat too... :)

 

Riding in convoy or formation will be within road speed limits so don't worry we will try to leave as a group and arrive as one.

Guys, my Mandarin is a lost cause, and going around the hardware shops attempting to communicate has not proven fruitful. Does anyone know where to find these drill bits?

Hey guys! hope to get some help from you guys over here.

 

I bought my 09 rs 125 first hand in mid of feb and am still in the running in phase. I do not know if this problem occurs to any of you guys before but im pretty irritated by the prob. If im not mistaken, My valve doesnt not really open when i try to do a fast pick up. it usually 'diao' at 5.5-7k rpm. All i can do now is just to accelerate slowly in order to avoid this problem. I've washed my valve 2 times in the course of 1 month at my bike shop. It still doesnt help. Can anyone help me with this? I'm really irritated by this prob and i have about 500km more to run in.

Man, firstly thx to all those whom feedback my dead battery.

Yes indeed I don't know how to disassemble and assemble it so I result in towing. Mechanic said wet cell sucks and changed to dry for me at $65 T.T

Hope I could learn some diy from you guys as this baby will follow me for years :)

But I failed to attend due to work ( marine engineering ), unstable worktimes. Argh.

Run it in fully first, remember to stick to the run in guidelines in the manual

yes bro.... run in the bike nicely and correctly.... many beg to differ but ultimately its ur ride.... i am also doing my running in and have passed the 1600km mark and am pushing my baby abit hard.... and yes there is a dip in power in the 5.5 to 6.5 rpm range and its due to various factors as i have read up on and feedback from our fellow rs riders..... i m yet to figure that out too..... CDI???? jetting???? i wonder..... but i m willing to try out to ensure to make her a smooth ride and hope u will too.....

Correct me if im wrong, but the valve opens at 8100

 

The valve opens at the bottom end until around 2.5k rpm to give the initial pickup to overcome inertia. Closes until 8.1-8.25k it reopens

It is due to the emissions control governed by the piaggio(?) cdi to pass strict European emissions test

The 'diao' feels like bogging and it happens almost at every gear. so yeah..

There are many things you can do but i'd recommend you do them after your run in phase

I got mine from the vege distributor. hahaaha! anyway, i had the same prob as you, i think?? for me my run in phase, i couldnt rev above 6k, even though i know i wasnt supposed to but once in a while wont kill right? LOLS. so i went back to the vege shop, got them to cut out the piece in the cdi. Quite simple, would have done it myself if i knew that was the prob. you might wanna try that out. remove ure backseat and take out the cdi. cut out the silicon and snap that gold piece interlinking the whole thing. next silicon it back and pop the whole darn thing back into the seat. should work fine after that. well for me at least? lols , if ure unclear of how to do it, maybe coming to this sunday`s diy and many bro`s can help you with it :D

LOLS. so i went back to the vege shop, got them to cut out the piece in the cdi.
