Haha don't get us wrong sub, we have impromptu meets sometimes and it's hard to arrange it with everyone's schedule in such a scenario. We do go far but sometimes we just meet up for coffee - partially due to the tight schedules some have for work e.g. AOEM who knocks off work at 9pm and has a morning shift the next day, in fact many of us(them) are turning up for the Friday meetup.

No worries mate. Just pulling your leg. :)

its not the bikes dun leave the west side....like wat dDtim said....we are trying to get to know one another and if in case any from the west has probs we know who to seek..... and yeah.... if i do organise bike wash session .... like i do with my colleagues.... will the guys from east come all the way down to west.... just to wash bike???? hmmmm am not taking territorial headship but now on the urgency accessibility and readiness of Rs riders wen the need arises.... i m no RS God but i am a learning as well..... brain works like a MACHINE....a two stroke one in fact.....

FYI guys both from the west and east come to my place to wash bike. :) I'm right in the centre.

Now I think about it, maybe it's coz of the free water and equipment. Damn it!

Subzero thanks for organising the gatherings and for opening your home for bike wash!

It's not because of the free water and equipment, I'm sure people will gladly pay a small fee for them. But it's because its right in the central part of SG. Convenient for all. North, South, East, and West.

So you coming for my DIY or not?

This manual has good info on unrestricting a restricted bike for the '06 model, even has settings for the jet and other mods to unleash the bike although it does lack the consideration of a 34mm it should still give a good guideline.

Is the 06 model similar to the 07? Feels like a trivia but: In which year was the piaggio cdi(ecu) introduced?

Hey everyone. Been reading alot from dis forum since i've got my rs 3 mths ago. Havent been to any dyi's or meet ups but would like to some day. Always clash wif my work days. Have to work dis sunday too though. Shift work man. Damn! Anyway recent posts are mostly abt carbs and settings. Got my bike gianelli ready so i dont know wat i feels like to ride with stock pipe. next in line thinking of getting a new carb. But then ddtim posted the link above. Says its an official derestriction guide for the 28mm. Does it have a major diff compared to the 34mm? Has anyone tried this kind of setting b4?

I'm confirm coming for the DIY. I told you. :)

No one yet to pay. A pack of ciggies would be nicer than a small fee. :)

Hi guys,

I'm off to Korea tomorrow. Will be buying a few pairs of armoured jeans as they're cheaper there.

The armour includes knee armour that extends all the way to about 3/4 the length of your shins (so that shorter people get adequate protection too), and hip padding. The armour can be adjusted to fit your legs, it's height and lateral position are adjustable. They are easily removed for washing of the garment, and the sides of the jeans feature ventilation zips.

As you know, a motorcyclist's legs are more vulnerable than his upper torso. We can break the fall with our hands and elbows, and they can be easily fixed, but your legs, if caught under the bike, may get mangled and need amputation. While scars are sexy and you can always tell a story abt a sexy scar to the hot chick you're trying to pick up, THERE IS NOTHING SEXY ABOUT A STUMP THAT A LIMB USED TO BE.

A few years ago, I fell with my right leg caught under my bike. It was dragged under the bike for about 10 metres and it ripped open my knee and also severed my ACL. I was on crutches for 3 months and I'll never walk normally for the rest of my life.

You may or may not see me walking with a limp as I usually compensate for my limp using my left leg strength. But quite often, after working on my bike, I won't be able to walk properly for a while as my knee hurts.

Wearing armour may or may not save your limbs or life. But without it, you'll always wonder if your injuries could have been lesser, your hospital stay shortened, and knock on wood that this never happens- that your amputated leg could have been saved.

For the price of a pair of Levi's, at 130,000 WON, or about S$150, you can get a pair armoured jeans that come in blue or black denim.

There are other similar products like Draggin Jeans from Australia, but the sizing is meant for the Ozzies, and I've tried most of their range, none can fit me. Also, they cost about S$350 per pair.

Those interested please let me know asap your waist size as I dont know when will be the next time I'll be in Korea. As you can see, they are inconspicuous and not fugly like most riding pants.

Featured in the photo is the black denim.

How bout we ride to the West after dinner at East Coast on 20 Mar? You west side boys can show us around your neighbourhood.

This sounds good.. Lotsa fun twisties in the west.. =p

Our CDI's should have fixed programming on a cheap PCB.

I concur with the cooler still air giving plenty more expansive power during combustion, leaning out the mixture theory.

Air flow speeds and volume has to be tested by flow bench testing but Seraph is right about it being completely dependent on the vacuum at the venturi in the carb.

We don't have air flow sensor on board. This is the first time I've heard of it. heh heh... Stop talking 4-wheelers! Smack your head then you know.

LOL! It's always good to learn more.. and realise that you don't have it on your ride.. Hahahahahahah!

Haha..! That's the most visible 'parking' lot for us all man. This time we better park nicely. The pump attendant gave us one kinda glare that time. Thought of parking in front of the 'Spize' shop but i worry they complain. Anyway this time round the crowd is moderate unlike the previous gathering. So should be ok i guess.

BBK seems mighty tempting since its always staring at me at 1 corner of my shop..hahaha

BKK too as im leaving to go speak to my manufacturer abt the rearsets...

I really hope you have a good chat with your manufacturer. With cases of screws coming loose, and heelguards flying off, these rearsets

are hardly upholding your claims that they're as good as the top end 'branded' rearsets such as Gilles etc. I've yet to hear of such a case from them.

Maybe it was the mechanic who fixed the rearsets is to blame, but that just looks bad on the shop you've chosen to install your products. In any case,

Good luck!

There are lightweight OZ rims available at Motivation. About $2200 to $2400 when i last enquired. You, being a dealer, of course will be entitled to a better price than us humble consumers. :)
