Hey aprillians, got a question bout 2T, what do you guys usually use?

Im on motul 710, but wanna try somethin diff.

Anione on Maxima Castor? or Maxima K2?

And on the bottle it's printed as premix only...

Would it be advisable to use it on the stock 2T pump?

Inputs are appreciated much...

Thanks bros, ride safe ;)

Castrol A747. Holy grail of 2T. Used in Motogp. $40 a bottle, don't think its avail in SG. I got one bottle on my last PJME order. Waiting to hit the tracks before i try it out.

But to ans ur question, there reason why some 2Ts have specific labels indicating for "premix" or "injector" use only is due to the viscosity of the 2T. Premix 2Ts tend to be thicker than "suitable for injector" 2Ts, and might not be able to travel as smoothly through the thin 2T tubes. That said, I've personally ran "premix only" 2T on the injector without any trouble. And i second feelicks. Silkolene Comp 2 Plus is the best 2T I've used to date.

Yes.

Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot you're the one with the full carbon bits... Sorry my bad... :D

$2.2k for front cowl + sides + tail + fenders; $500 for chassis guards; $300 for the tank; $250 for the instrument panel + yoke + tank cap; add shipping... Total $2k. You need maths tutor? I know a guy, very good tuition teacher, rides a matt black RS...

So am I one of the nice people? I do have my detractors and there are quite a number of people still pissed off at me from a long time back.

I always thought I was one of the posers... :cheeky:

Yes Lawrence, you're the one with the carbon bits, but i'm well aware of the prices as well. I'm sure the prices you listed go through your own personal inflation. In any case, I was refering to a set of Carbon Fibre fairings costing about 2Kplus tops. Because Andrew was talking about his paintwork. I didnt take into account the frame and swingarm covers(which I found online btw) or the other minor carbon bits. You know why I dont like CF, it's a waste of money and it'll make me ride like a turtle at track, just like you. :)

And yes, you are one of the nice people. We've had our differences, but your passion for your bike made you stay all these years and I respect that. I think more people hate me than you. I always see some posers just waiting at the edge of their keyboards for you to post and to suck up to you. They love carrying your balls, you have to tell me what you coat them with. i want the same treatment!

Anyway, my definition of posers is pretty simple. There's the group that purely focused on the cosmetics of their bikes. Constantly changing stupid things like grips, brake fluid reserviors etc when they dont need to. IMO, it's money better spent elsewhere. I always believe cosmetics is the last thing to be done. And there's the even more irritating group. Act like they're so knowledgeable but in fact, they know nuts. Talk so much about modifying this and that, want to get Italkit racing ignition, CDI etc, in the end, NO MONEY. They might ride a new model bike, but had to scrape together coins to pay for an old model 2ndhand 34mm carb to put on their bike. I call this the Beggar group. Not beggars because of their financial status, but beggars in terms of their mentality and maturity.

Somehow I find the guys in their early 20s to be much more mature and down to earth than some riders in their 30s. Those in their 30s always like to tell wondeful tales of their past, riding class 2 bikes, going track etc. but in actual fact they turn out to be ex convicts and bankruptcies. Who knows? Just my 2 cents. And oh yea, you'll be missed. Dont completely disappear. You still have some stuff to do before you go join the Ducati crowd.

Join the club. Me and vik ordered quite some time back, somewhere around late Jul. Vik ordered before me and he has yet to receive his order(last i checked with him was 2 days ago) Apparently PJME is currently short handed and they're taking forever nt just to process the orders, but also in replying emails.

  mesab0ogie said:
Guys i was just replying an email from Angela regarding my PJME order and I just remembered that some people have still have not gotten some items from my last order. I could go through my list but it would be easier if those who have yet to receive anything to inform me. Ive already requested for the items from Angela but shes taking an awful long time to get through so I think its safe to say we'll never see those items. Since its small items I'll save everyone the trouble and just foot the cost of the missing items. Off the top of my head i know Koon is short of exhaust spring pullers, and one other dude is short of tank bolt and washer.

If ur missing stuff from you previous order do not hesitate to sms me at 83235392.

I got my stuff from PJME this past sunday.Angela told me she was sending it out last monday. Though it took long because they were shorthanded, i was happy because all the stuff was arranged neatly especially the bearings ordered for overhaul like gearbox, balance shaft were all packaged together in sets. Very glad she did this after my previous feedback.

Just something to share with you guys. This is the original valve which i got from Liquidy. Lighter, better and cheaper than the replicas out there.

One way to tell the difference between replicas and original is the collar of the valve. It is round and smooth compared to the replicas which are squarish and edgy.

Special Thanks to SubZero who was talking on the phone for so long until i got so bored and started snapping photos :)

Upz for this valve, Liquidy is bringing in original valves as can be seen. Dont settle for replicas that cost more(never understood why) and inflated prices at workshops. :)

Sorry Chris, important phonecall. Btw, i recognize the background in your sig. Somemore got 2 monsters sleeping in there. :)

Awesome la guys for input, i'll give sikolene for the try. But now only one problem remain, my bikey then to sputter at 5.5-6rpm about 1/4-1/2 throttle...sucky man, i cleaned the valve, super satisfied but now jus havta handle this sputter/boggy glitch hahaha...other then that, i can say im hook to aprilia, so far of all the bikes i rode, this hav surpase my expectation for a tiny 125.

Do post some inputs of what u think might be causing the sputtering ans bogginess. Much appreciated!! Ride safe guys ;)

Sry to be the one to be the one to break it to you but chances are you'll have to put up with that bogging for a long time to come, or at least until u've figured out how to tune the carb on ur own coz its a problem that only a select few RS has overcome totally. Even after tinkering with my carb for so long I still have a slight sputter at 5.5-6k rpm. And I've tinkered with my bike alot.

Hahahaha oritez, thanks for the input, well if a few have done it why not all huh? I'll give it a shot la, at least if i screw up, i can say i still tried, bout tuning carbs..not much of an expert but done it on my previous bikes which ran quite sweet...but well if there's time n chance there shud b a way to get that perrrrfeccct ratio of air/fuel...

Easier said then done!! Hhahaha but still thanks guys, appreciate the input ;)

coz it takes lots of time to tune the bike right, and like what feelicks says, what works on one bike wont work on another. And basically i think most riders dont have the balls to try out things for eg i've mentioned loads of times that from personal observations, i believe 99% of this sputtering/bogging issue in SG is due to mixture being too rich, meaning u have to lean out ur mixture, but to date I seem to be the only one seeking out smaller jets to play around with and doing crazy things like running an airboxless/filterless open pod carb. So, seeking an advance permission from vik and law to be the temporary local cynic/douche, if you dont have the balls to try out stuff then just f**k off, be contented with a sub par/bogging/sputtering/fuel guzzling piece of s**t bike and quit complaining about it.

Yes. I'm gonna miss the smell of 2T. Was trailing this RS125 today, sputtering and smoking like a mosquito fogger, but I was secretly smelling his oily, pungent 2T burn-off... :S

Woah... You really know how to keep me in suspense, waiting for your rebuttal. I'm gonna miss talking smack with you.

I paid a lot more for the carbon bits because the exchange rates were different then. Things are so much cheaper these days... Sigh. Well, for Andrew's case I was hoping he'd claim everything from the driver. hahaha... Then there won't be just 1 Carbon Aprilia RS125 in SG anymore...

I feel less and less attached to this Aprilia thread, and also the ARCForum... because I'm gonna be Aprilia-less soon. I feel a tinge of sadness and regret, but all good things must come to an end. I received another payment today, this time about 1/2 of the remaining payment. The reality is sinking in and I can't face it!

Not to mention the same stuff is being rehashed over and over. Same sh1t, different day. I'm gonna hold another DIY soon, but I no longer want newbies around. Only you, Ashraff, and maybe Caleb and Feelicks are the great guys who would show up and keep me company even if you guys don't work on your bikes. And I'd like to keep it that way cos I wanna fool myself into thinking I'm doing just another DIY like I have for the past 7 years.

I also don't know what's on my balls but I'm sure it's got a healthy dose of skepticism and sarcasm. I'm gonna miss plugging those fcuking noobs who talk trash here.

Bring drinks and snacks for the final RS 125 DIY bro. It's gonna be the last burst of fire before I migrate to Ducati. Even then, I won't have time for the Ducati groups because I have to focus on my business now...

We all have to move on to bigger things in life.

I have shared my passion with those who would listen. And to those who have taught me something I didn't know, I am grateful.

Some guys in their 20s are douchebags, some guys in their 30s are douchebags. Douchebaggery knows no age limit. Maturity is not directly proportional to age.

Couldn’t agree more.

For quite a while now, I've sensed an elitist tone in posts about DIYing on this thread. To me, this is not only unnecessary but detracts from true DIY qualities. When you guys get the time to get off your high horse, have a read of Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig. A relevant extract from page 404:

"If you have a high evaluation of yourself then your ability to recognize new facts is weakened. Your ego isolates you from the Quality reality. When the facts show that you've just goofed, you're not as likely to admit it. When false information makes you look good, you're likely to believe it...If you know enough mechanics to think of them as a group, and your observations coincide with mine, I think you'll agree that mechanics tend to be rather modest and quiet...If modesty doesn't come easily or naturally to you, one way out of this trap is to fake the attitude of modesty anyway."

Hi,

I broke my key...and wondering where i could get the aprilia key to duplicate rather than the normal bunch of keys?

I got mine in a group order organized by an Aprilian. I believe he got them from AF1 Racing. Here is the link (see item 2 and its product code for 06-09 RS125s). IIRC it was something like S$10 delivered, but someone will correct me if this was a lower cost due to group ordering.

Hahaha no worries non-taken....

And yesss i agree wit, it takes time to achive that perfection. But its nt all abt gettin perfection, its the journey there. You learn slowly what is what, what goes where and so on.

But i jus havta disagree on the "you don't diy fcuk off" because some may nt diy because of time factor, momey factor etc. Or some are jus plain lazzzzyyyy...haha but there ppl who are willing to learn n try. If given the chance for them to see n learn how its done, u'll never know, he/she might get hooked to diy-ing...

Soooo yeppss still thanks so much the inputs, happy diy-ing/workshop-ing...either way it gets the aprilia running well. Hahahaha, 2 roads still 1 destination.
