For those going premix, there are 2 options:

Permanent or temporary

Permanent:

Simply remove all hoses, seal up the 2T inlet port on the carb, remove 2T pump mechanism, block up the gear shaft hole with resin plug.

Temporary:

You will need to disconnect the 2T hose that runs from the tank to the pump, AND the hose that runs from the 2T pump to the 2T inlet port in your carb.

Find a small plug or cap to seal the 2T inlet port on the side of your carb. Previously I used a toothpick and some resin to keep it in place. When you want to revert, just break the resin anchor.

For the larger 2T hose (tank to pump), you have a choice of draining the 2T tank or just plugging up the end of the hose. I recommend draining the 2T tank and sealing the end of the hose. This will keep unwanted stuff out of the 2T supply system when not in use.

When u want to go back to injector, connect 2T tank hose to 2T pump, and hose from 2T pump but not to the carb.

Top up 2T tank, start your engine and run it until 2T flows through the inlet hose to the tip of it.

Next, drain your fuel tank of premixed petrol and refill it with fresh petrol without 2T premixed into it. Connect the 2T inlet hose to the carb and it's done.

2T Types

Premix 2T

For those of you who want to use Premix 2T, do note that it is viscous (thicker/heavier/more concentrated), so please pour the 2T and petrol together into a sealed container, then SHAKE IT WELL. You must ensure that the color is evenly distributed throughout the contents. This reduces the chance of separation between the 2T and fuel.

Injector 2T

Those who wish to keep things simple, you can continue to use Injector 2T as it is less viscous (thinner/dissolves better) and is less likely to separate after mixing.

Personally I use Injector 2T because I like the convenience.

5 Steps to Premix Refuelling (Pre-2006 RS125):

1. Turn fuel tap to "OFF" position

2. Open tank cap and pour 2T into tank

3. When pumping the petrol, angle the nozzle so that the fuel stream hits the existing fuel and CHURNS THE TANK, the more agitation and foaming, the better.

4. Turn fuel tap back to "ON" or "RES" position

5. Enjoy the awesome power and smooth ride, worry-free! (Thanks to Lawrence, now isn't he nice)

3 Steps to Premix Refuelling (2006-2009 RS125):

1. Open tank cap and pour 2T into tank

2. When pumping the petrol, angle the nozzle so that the fuel stream hits the existing fuel and CHURNS THE TANK, the more agitation and foaming, the better.

3. Enjoy the awesome power and smooth ride, worry-free! (Thanks to Lawrence, now isn't he nice, should buy him lunch whenever you see him)

For ratios and calculations,

Litre of 2T : Litre of Petrol

1:20 means 1 litre of 2T to 20 litres of petrol

Also means 1 litre of petrol requires 50ml of 2T

1:20 - racing

1:30 - racing

1:40 - race/street

1:50 - street/race (safe and convenient in terms of calculation) 1 litre of petrol : 20ml of 2T

1:60 - street (still safe depending on 2T type)

1:70 - nearly smoke-free (may not be suitable for some newbies)

1:80 - NOT RECOMMENDED (use at your own risk)

I currently use 1:80 (1L of petrol to 12ml of 2T), hence I have very minimal smoke on start up, minimal carbon build-up on my valve (cleaned twice a year) and spark plug (changed once a year), and no oil at my exhaust tip. This also greatly depends on your carburetion, which I will save for another day when I'm in a good mood.

Have fun, people.

12ml .... cool bro another garang monster...

Maxima gearoil is good stuff. $25.

Tyres, use the Bridgestone BT003. $300 at Ah Seng. Make sure you check the date of manufacture on the tyres before installation.

Unless it's Power One tyres that David is selling for $360, dont waste your time. BT003 seems to be a favourite choice for road and track use.

I'm on them. :)

bro power one where got so cheap 360 ?? i also wan leh .. haha

Not true IMO. Some jailbirds who do time for theft, rape etc. usually look like dimwitted weaklings. Their level of uselessness is only overshadowed by their unsurprisingly low IQ(which explains their decidedly pathetic attempts to provoke anger or protray sarcasm.) Hehehe.

Less smoke, less carbon build-up, but still works well enough for track use... Plus saves me money on 2T. 12ml per litre of petrol, that's 12ml per 30km travelled, hence its about 1 Litre of 2T for 2500km travelled.

Much much better economy than all the injector/auto-lube bikes that gulps 2T to the tune of 1 litre of 2T to 800-1000km.

thanks bro.when is the next time u r going track?

I have. Without proper tuning/set up u wont notice any gains from the cdi. Probably the most noticeable difference is the bike will rev all the way to 12krpm with ease. Mine makes power up to 11.5krpm, on standard cdi only up to 10.5krpm.

Hi everyone, i'm riding RS 125 '05. I felt my bike lacking power at 5000-6000rpm, after that range only can get the power and power valve start at 8500rpm. I was told by machanic that is caused by my cab. Just wondering is that possible, or is there other reason for that? Hope some expert here may help. Cheers!

Firstly welcome bro..;) congrats on your new ride..can't advice much as I myself just got an rs. But I'd say get everything working fine first like getting it checked..ur valve ur tires and all sort..then go into e modifications..

Frm my knowledge...it's to change e pipe..reed..carb..and lastly probably e cdi..

may ***** grant you e serenity to accept the things that you cannot change, e courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference....
